Urban Decay Bondage Weightless Makeup Adhesive

Urban Decay Bondage Weightless Makeup Adhesive ($14) is a new water based adhesive that Urban Decay introduced for Summer 2014 to use in conjunction with their new Heavy Metal Loose Glitters or any cosmetic glitter really!

Take a look!

I mentioned it in my Heavy Metal Loose Glitter Review but I should say again I wish a smaller version of this was packaged with the glitter. I think it would have been nicer to see the two products together versus having to buy them individually because unless you’re using glitter in your everyday looks you likely won’t feel included to purchase this at $14 plus splurge an additional $12 for the glitter. I could, of course, be the exception to the rule but I don’t use glitter often…I love shimmer and sparkle but glitter in my looks is a rarity.

This has a brush application which you apply on eyes and pat int o place. It isn’t sticky or tacky and it dries down to create a film over your lid for glitter to adhere too. According to Urban Decay it’s supposed to allow glitter to remain in tack with little fall out. It holds glitter nicely on lids without creasing or having it fade away but I still had issues with glitter fall out on my face and cheeks. It creates a very nice base for glitter to adhere but I wouldn’t say it complete eliminated fall out.

On that note…

I also did use this with eyeshadow and loose pigment. I thought hey, I have it, why not test it with other products! I knew I wouldn’t use the glitter and I didn’t want the Bondage to go to waste so test away I did. It actually acts as a really great eyeshadow primer of sorts. Simply apply it, pat into place, and apply shadow or loose pigment on top. It holds them strong for as long as Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer at around 10 hours without creasing or fading on my drier eyes.

Mind you I wouldn’t recommend buying Bondage just as a shadow primer though but it does multitask as one so you can get the most bang for your buck.

Urban Decay Bondage Weightless Makeup Adhesive is a perment product that’s available now at urbandecay.com and will launch shortly at Sephora, Ulta, etc…

I use Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy with eyeshadow quite a bit when I really want the color to pop and prevent creasing. It works great! I don’t know if it would hold glitter (haven’t tried) but it worked well with glittery eyeshadow shades I’ve used with it.

To me it is the best product to hold glitter so far (from the ones I tried at least). It gives a slightly glossy finish and holds the glitter were it should be. If you ever fancy a glittery look (halloween mayde..??) give it a go. It is one of my favourite primers and does a mean job with the fyrinnae eyeshadows.
