Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette Swatches
I’m doing a round up of swatches today for the Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette. Yeah, you’re pretty excited about Urban Decay Electric aren’t you?
I actually liked the entire Urban Decay Naked thing but let’s face it Urban Decay’s roots lay in their ability to create wild, bold, vibrant shades. Colors that really push the envelope!
Well the Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette pushes the letter kids.
Just a note before we get started on swatches….
Please keep in mind that the back of the palette has a fine print warning that Urban, Slowburn, Savage, and Jilted are not intended for the immediate eye area. There’s been discussion (but I have no confirmation of this information) that these shades are approved in EU and Canada but since we live in the US I thought I’d share this information. Please remember to use this palette or any makeup item with proper care and as always at your own discretion and risk. I’m not a medical professional so I can’t advise that these are safe for eye use nor would I recommend them on your eyes due to the warnings. Just be safe and smart when using any makeup.
Urban Decay is NOT kidding about the pigmentation packed into these shades. It’s incredibly vibrant to say the least and the texture is just as wonderful. I’ve run across neons like this before but many are dense, dry, and chalky but Urban Decay has successfully created a formula that’s soft and super smooth. I haven’t yet used any on my eyes but merely swatching the shades you can see how beautifully textured the shadows are.
Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette is a long overdue release for many fans who felt like the brand was becoming to tame. Don’t get me wrong as a fan of the brand I love their Naked branding and so do many of you. However, there are fans out there that craved something more intense so Electric brings that to the table in a major way.
Urban Decay Chaos Eyeshadow released with the Urban Decay Vice Palette was apparently the inspiration for the Electric Pressed Pigment Palette.
The palette includes ten shades in matte and shimmer finishes eight of which are brand new where as Chaos and Revolt from the Anarchy Face Case are repromoted.
Thrash, Freak, Jilted, Urban
Chaos, Savage, Fringe
Revolt, Gonzo, Slowburn
As I mentioned above I haven’t tried these on my eyes yet but during my swatching the shades did stain my arm so I imagine you’ll see some staining on lids too as baby these are some BRIGHT shades.
Just to reiterate my statement above Urban, Slowburn, Savage, and Jilted are NOT eye safe so please use caution with this palette.
The Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette is $49 and will be available at Sephora, Sephora.com, Ulta, Ulta.com, Macys, Macys.com, and at urbandecay.com on March 18th.
