Urban Decay Gash Lipstick Review & Swatches
Urban Decay Gash Lipstick ($22) only available for a limited time? What?! I need to stock up on several tubes of Urban Decay Gash Lipstick and if you haven’t already…Well, I suggest you do so soon before it disappears.
This beautiful shade is limited edition and available at urbandecay.com until it sells out, once it is gone, it is gone. Although I’ll keep hope alive that Gash returns as permanent at some point!
Urban Decay calls Gash a deep red with tonal shimmer. For me it’s more of a ruby red with very little shimmer or sparkle but with a nice high shine finish. The color is bright, fully opaque on a single application, creamy, easy to apply without tugging or dryness, and super lightweight.
I really love the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick Collection but they seemed to go above and beyond with Gash. The formula feels creamy with a good deal of shine. I was relieved it didn’t migrate or feather and had a truly outstanding wear of around six hours before showing very minor wear (just a little loss of shine) on me at hour seven. It has a very easy to apply formula that doesn’t pull during application.
And of course, the color…wow! It’s just so a stunning red that should work across a very wide range of skin tones. It’s daring but not clowny, bold and vivid but not scary…No wonder why Urban Decay creator, Wende Zomnir, calls it a shade she couldn’t live without.
I rarely recommend backups myself as I’ve reached a point in my makeup life that I really can’t afford to have backups hanging around because I have SO MUCH makeup to get through. But I’m pretty sure Urban Decay Gash Lipstick is one of those rare products that you’ll need to grab a backup or two of.
Loves it.
This one gets a Muse Approval.
