Bare Minerals Well-Rested Bright Eyes Fatigue Fighting Trio Review & Swatches

Bare Minerals Well-Rested Bright Eyes Fatigue Fighting Trio

You know me I’m always looking for ways to brighten up these tired eyes so when the Bare Minerals Well-Rested Bright Eyes Fatigue Fighting Trio popped up on QVC I grabbed it up!

This new set includes not only the popular Bare Minerals Well Rested Eye Brighten but also the new Bare Minerals West Rested CC Eye Primer!

Take a look!

The more exciting option of the Bare Minerals Well-Rested Bright Eyes Fatigue Fighting Trio is the fact they include a brand new launch with this set, that being the West Rested CC Eye Primer.

I loved the idea of this and wanted to adore it but unfortunately it was a smidge to light for me. I wish they had an option for a little bit of a darker shade in this! Perhaps someday! Outside of this set you are unable to purchase this individually unfortunately so if you do want to try it you have to grab the set as that’s the only way it’s available currently.

The CC Eye Primer comes in a chubby swivel up pen with a nice dome shape that fits the contour of eyes perfectly. It’s a product you have to prep well for considering it’s a bit dry and tugs during application. During the QVC presentation they used this under eyes as well as on lids. It has a cool feeling when applied with a creamy yet drier consistency that doesn’t quite blend as easily as I’d like! It needs to be a bit more hydrating and considering this is marketed towards older eyes it might be a good idea to add a little more moisture to the product. It really does brighten well BUT a bit too much for me…! The color is a bit pasty and unnatural under my eyes so I do have to be careful how much I apply. A few of my readers adored it but I can’t say it honestly worked for me as the shade was just a bit too light. On my lids it worked a bit better but under my eyes the shade wasn’t quite a good pick! They call it an eye primer to be used alone or as prep for eye color and concealer. Personally I didn’t think it extended the wear of my shadow but it did intensify colors so if you need a good base to add more boost to your shadow this works nicely!

This set also includes Bare Minerals Well-Rested Eye Brightener SPF 20 which is super popular with the masses. It started off life as an eyeshadow but Bare Minerals starting recommending it under eyes as a concealer of sorts or on top of concealer to set. It’s a loose, satin finish powder that’s a creamy ivory shade. I’d liken it to MAC Adjust Prep + Prime CC Colour Correcting Powder. This can be drying so do prep well prior to use. It’s not pigmented enough for me to use on its own so I typically apply my concealer, foundation, eyeshadow, and other makeup and as the very last step of my makeup application I sweep a little of this under my eyes to not only set my concealer but brighten the area up! It works very nicely to give eyes a smooth, softly focused finish as well as extends the wear of concealer!

Bare Minerals also includes a Soft Focus Shadow Brush to use with either the powder or CC Eye Primer. With the powder it’s a bit too dense a brush so I prefer using it with the CC Eye Primer as it buffs the drier cream into my eyes easily and gives them an airbrushed appearance as well as sheers the color out so it appears more natural.

I think if you’re a Bare Minerals Well Rested fan you’re sure to love this set. I think it has issues here and there but if it fits your skin tone you can work around that easily enough particularly if you have oily eyes as the CC Eye Primer as likely not come across as dry for you!

The Bare Minerals Well Rested Bright Eyes Fatigue Fighting Trio is available now at QVC.com.

Ooh! I love bareMinerals, and the hint of shimmer in the concealer is the absolute selling point for me. Unfortunately, I’m not sure how to feel about the stick formulation… I’m more of a jar (benefit’s BOI-ING, for example) gal.
