Butter London Cheeky Cream Blush Review & Swatches

Butter London Cheeky Cream Blusher

A big yay today for the Butter London Cheeky Cream Blush ($20)! I’ve been on a cream blush craze the last few weeks! Bobbi Brown has a new Pot Rouge shade, Clarins introduced Multi-Blush Cream Blush, Estee Lauder has a new Bronze Goddess Cheek Glow Blush, it’s just one endless parade of cream blushes.

A few formulas stuck with me as brilliant and one of those formulas happens to be Butter London Cheeky Cream Blush. Originally the blush was introduced with the Butter London Makeup Collection that launched last year but recently three new, limited edition shades became available with the Lolly Brights Summer 2014 Collection.

Shall we have a look?

Butter London Cheeky Cream Blush

The most appealing part of Butter London Cheek Cream Blush is the fact they wear very long. This is a rarity for me as cream blush typically fades on me very quickly but this formula wears for a solid six hours on me without a hiccup!

The colors are fully customizable so you can go as sheer or as bright as you want thanks to the excellent pigment. The creamy texture has a powdery set time but gives you plenty of time to blend out before they dry down. The texture is a thinner with an almost powdery formulation that blends easily on cheeks with a smooth, even finish. They have a super light feel with a seamless natural finish so cheeks appear to be blushing naturally.

Butter London Piccadilly Circus Cheeky Cream Blush is probably my favorite shade of the two I tried. This actually reminds me a of a cream version of Milani Bella Rosa Matte Baked Blush.

If you’re shopping cream blushes for Summer I highly recommend Butter London Cheeky Cream Blush!

Love these!

Muse Approved.

They are available now at butterlondon.com or grab them at ulta.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m so glad to see someone else loving this formula. I’ve been using this blush in Honey Pie – it’s a perfect peachy/terracotta color and wonderful texture.
Although I don’t usually keep boxes, I love the one that this comes in (especially the inside!) so much that it sits in my makeup drawer in the box.
Also, I get to hear the Beatles singing in my head whenever I open it!

oh sadra I agree the boxes are just delightful! ;-D so glad you agree, I really love these!!!!!!!!!!

I love them too!! Like Sadra I have Honey Pie & what an amazing color. Really the texture & staying power is wonderful. I’ve been into cream blush myself lately it feels just so light & natural.

awesome 😀 glad to hear it!!!!!!!! I really like them too! I don’t have Honey Pie so I might need to grab that with all the ravings from you and Sadra!

Just when I was about to buy Bobbi Brown’s pot rouge — since it is Muse approved! — now I’m thinking I might buy this instead and save a few bucks. How does the Butter London compare to Bobbi’s and Clarins crème blushes? Which one is the UBER Muse approved?

    • Isabella Muse

i didn’t like the clarins, didn’t muse approve those 🙂 Bobbi’s is Muse Approved, long wear, emollient, thicker, these are a little thinner a bit powdery on the set not as dewy as Bobbi’s. I included links in the post to Bobbi’s and Clarins if you wanna compare swatches/reviews! Hope this helps!!!!!!!

Thank you so very much!! What would I do without your makeup blog? Waste a lot of money, that’s what.

    Appreciate you
