Dr Jart BB Dis-A-Pore Beauty Balm

Dr Jart BB Dis-A-Pore Beauty Balm is one of two new BB Creams that Dr Jart launched recently at Sephora. This new formula provides moisture, protects with an SPF 30, and promises to conceal pores for a more flawless finish!

Have a look!

Dr Jart BB Dis-A-Pore Beauty Balm is marketed as an innovative formula due to the fact it treats pores and blemishes with herbal extracts control excessive sebum.

I have drier skin that is combination in the warmer weather. Currently I’m seeing some of that combo skin come out to play with drier cheeks and oily forehead and chin area. The formula has a soft, silky set that isn’t dewy but not terribly mattifying either so if you are very shiny and oily this might not do a great job curbing that oily as the day progresses. For me it would probably be more suitable for those some oiliness as it does set to a powdery finish. It perfects skin beautifully by not only brightening but offering medium coverage when built. I don’t have larger pores but my skin looks very flawless and fresh in this plus the visible pores I do have on my nose are blurred completely away after an application of this do it does indeed do a great job with smaller visible pores.

On the down side I find the shade lighter than the typical light shade available in Dr Jart’s formulas. The shade is for air to light skin tones with neutral undertones but it does have a good deal of pink which makes it ideal for those with a cooler skin tone. Personally it was a bit pasty on me so I had to be sure to apply very little and had to blend very, very well to avoid this.

At some point I’m sure they’ll introduce it in a medium skin just as they did with other products in the line.

If you have combination skin with smaller visible pores and want lighter coverage that will fight some shine and oil while providing a brighter, fresher complexion you’ll like enjoy Dr Jart BB Dis-A-Pore Beauty Balm.

It’s available now at Sephora and Sephora.com.

When you say it’s too light and pasty on you that’s how I know it’ll be just right for me lol. It sounds great I’ll have to give it a shot, especially because I am kind of a greaseball.

    • Isabella Muse

LOL! ;-D i want your skin tone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Tammie

lol noooo, it’s so hard to find foundation etc.! Everything is just a teeny bit too dark, I can’t wear anything from Chanel, Dior or Estee Lauder for example.

          • Tammie

lol sounds good, where do we get somebody who can perform this Face/Off style procedure xD

  • Liane

This is actually kind of exciting. I tried their other BB creams and, while I very much liked the formulas, they were always a bit too dark. This could be the ticket!

  • Lauren

I’m surprised by how excited I am for this! I’m pretty darn pasty (maybe NC20 when I’ve got a tan), so it can be hard to find one-shade-fits-all make-up that actually works for me.

You know, I just wished they would introduce this BB and CC creams with a more yellow tone. Being so fair and yellow-olive, I can’t wear most of these BB creams unless I want to look greyish pink. And medium shades are waaaaay too dark on me. LOL!

    Sigh…

    • Isabella Muse

aw sorry 🙁 maybe check out Missha they have a larger selection of shades!

I think I have a sample tube of this somewhere!! *puts on flashlight helmet* time to start digging!

I don’t really understand the shade ranges for Dr. Jart. I love the products but I always end up looking like a ghost and I have fair skin!

  • spooki

I really like this product. It’s super pale and neutral toned so it’s perfect for me but I feel like this shade won’t work for the majority of people. It is REALLY pale, ghostly pale, I could never find something this light in drugstores. I like the matte airbrushed finish it gives my skin and the coverage is very good. I think it covers a bit better than my Missha Perfect Cover BB.

I ended up returning this, it was too thick or something and felt like it would separate from my skin mid-day…so I went back to my old routine of NYC BB Cream as a base (it’s not got much color but smooths skin) and the new Maybelline BB Cream (the acne one) on top.

    • Isabella Muse

i don’t think I yet tried the NYC BB Cream! Gotta pick that up! I don’t have issues with blemishes but I actually kinda like the new Maybelline BB, seems nicer than the original or am I mad?

      • Tammie

Yeah it’s feels really good, but basically no pigmentation. I find it great as a base, but if you don’t really need foundation you might really like it :).

No, even though I do have blemish issues (and I don’t know how well this works for that yet, since I just switched back) I like this one better than the first one too. The formula seems more on the BB cream side (even though it’s still way different than the Asian ones) kinda like the Pond’s BB cream, while the original Maybelline one was definitely more on the tinted moisturizer scale. Also I dropped using the original really fast, but find the new one is basically perfect for me coverage-wise (I only really need a little coverage for the most part, my blemishes need concealer no matter how pigmented the foundation).

I tried this BB Cream last month. I have combination skin and this BB Cream felt a bit cakey. The color was perfect but my didn’t look very moisturized…
