Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Cheek Glow Blush Review & Swatches
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Cheek Glow Blush ($28) is a newly launched cream blush that’s available for a limited time with the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer 2014 Collection.
I’m not a massive cream blush fan girl but I was tempted by this shade!
Let’s take a look!
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Cheek Glow Blush is a pretty warm coral with a subtle hint of luminous sheen. The formula is a thinner easy to apply cream blush that glides onto cheeks easily and blends out just as smoothly. I love the feel of this! It’s slick with a dewy finish that adds a touch of subtle warm coral to cheeks. It’s probably one of the easiest blending cream blushes I’ve come across recently. I’d liken the formula to the new Make Up For Ever HD Blush but it’s a little thinner and a lot smoother to apply.
I think the nice thing about the shade is it provides a touch of a luminous, sun kissed glow. It does apply sheer but does have fairly good build so it should work across a range of skin tones however, it might be a touch to light a shade for very deep tones. Unfortunately it does have a shorter wear on me so my skin swallows it up at around hour six and I notice a good deal of fading at
this point.
I do think it deserves to be mentioned that Bobbi’s new Hibiscus Pot Rouge is a bit more pigmented with a longer wear formula, cheaper price tag, and you do get more blush for your buck. This is $28 weighing in at .11 oz where as Bobbi’s Pot Rouge is $26 with a size of 0.13 oz. If I’m being honest, I’d recommend Bobbi’s version over Estee Lauder’s formula just because it has a stronger wear and the color is more pigment rich. Although Estee Lauder’s formula does prove the easier of the two to blend out as it has more of a slippery texture where as Bobbi’s has more of a thicker consistency that requires a tugging action to blend fully.
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Cheek Glow Blush sure is nice but I wish it was a touch more long wearing on me and dare I say just a little cheaper…!
It’s available now for a limited time on counter or at Nordstrom.com.
