Lipstick Queen Jungle Queen Lipstick Review & Swatches

Jungle Queen Lipstick

I admit I had this weird moment of Jungle Boogie playing in my ear when I applied the new Lipstick Queen Jungle Queen Lipstick! You just might want to boogie down with Jungle Queen this Summer as she’s the perfect on trend orange for warm, Summer-y looks.

And to think I thought she was going to be coral!

Lipstick Queen Jungle Queen

Lipstick Queen Jungle Queen Lipstick was developed to be paired with animal prints. How weird is that? Poppy King, creator of Lipstick Queen products, was inspired by fierce animal prints when she created the Jungle Queen shade. She actually calls it a coral pop and a juicy papaya shade. Personally it’s a full on orange for me…but strangely enough I tested it on my friend Jai and it comes across as a lighter papaya on him. Apparently the shade is suitable for all complexions so obviously the color has a little switcharoo when applying it on different skin tones. On me it was a juicy orange with hints of redness! There wasn’t a lot of warmth to the color for me but it was more a cooler on trend sizzling Summer orange.

They call it a semi-sheer formula but I find it applies opaque where as the formula feels more like a sheerer lipstick. Like it’s cousins, Jean Queen, it has a buttery, soft glide across lips with a little slickness and full opaque color on the first application. It has a hint of shine and incredible wear of around five hours without migrating, fading, or feathering.

Poppy always amazes me with her formula as they wear so lightweight and comfortable yet they pack such incredible pigmentation.

If you’re a fond fan of the orange lipstick trend for Summer I’m sure that Lipstick Queen Jungle Queen Lipstick will be an instant pick up for you!

I’m so happy to see this reviewed! I love the color but wish it came in both this and something closer to the saint formula – for summer I like something sheer enough that I can just slap it on without a mirror. Still, it’s freakin fierce!

I always hated orange lipsticks on me and for some reason this year I’ve become absolutely obsessed with them! This looks like it’d be a lovely addition to my collection 🙂 xx

I was just thinking to myself today that I LOVE the formula of Jean Queen but I wish it were warmer-toned… HELLO LIPPIE!!

  • Amber

I love orange and coral lipsticks and I have to agree that Lipstick Queen has superior formulas. Jungle Queen looks a lot like one of her others I own -Saint Fire Red. Wish I could see a side by side. I’m torn! I’ve been eyeballing Let Them Eat Cake too!
