L’Oreal Eva’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick Review & Swatches
L’Oreal Eva’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick ($5.99) is one of six new, limited edition lipsticks launched with the L’Oreal Collection Privee that’s showing up at drugstores at the moment.
The L’Oreal Privee Nude Collection is a selection of non traditional nude lipsticks inspired by the multi-ethnic L’Oreal celebrity ambassadors including Eva Longoria.
Let’s take a look at her shade!
L’Oreal Eva’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick comes housed in a matte rubberized tube with gold accents that includes Eba’s signature on the case. It’s quite a luxurious looking lipstick and really has a counter makeup look and feel. I’m unsure if I love the rubber casing as of yet! I’ve used the lipstick several times and traveled with it once and so far it’s clean but I fear it’ll fall victim to NARS faults with this style packaging and that would be attracting grim, dirt, and just becoming sticky and such!
I wouldn’t call this formula moisturizing but it has a lightweight texture on my lips with a heavy perfume-y fragrance and flavor. If you use or used L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in the past you’re likely familiar with this taste and fragrance. I found the wear time is around 3 hours. I’m typically ok with the Colour Riche Lipstick formula however, it isn’t a drugstore favorite. I find the application is a little draggy and the color settles into the natural lines of my lips and has a slightly uneven finish! Drier lips will likely dislike the formula as you’ll have an uneven, patchy look.
L’Oreal Eva’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick is a very nice pick for my medium fair skin tone. Of course, no one is limited to anyone shade but I think they are trying to say the color will look best on brunettes with medium skin tones. However, this shade seems like it’ll be beautiful for a range of tones. It’s a medium peach with a bit of duskiness to it. It’s fairly opaque on first application and has a satin finish without any shimmer or sparkle.
Overall, L’Oreal Eva’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick is a lovely wearable nude shade for lips. However, I do wish the formula was a bit more moisturizing. I’ve run across Colour Riche Lipsticks that I like very much but this felt a touch dry to me. But it might be worth a purchase for the shade alone. A little gloss on top will likely help with the dryness and give the shade a smoother finish.
