L’Oreal Jennifer’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick is another gorgeous shade released with the L’Oreal Collection Privee for Spring 2014.
I’ve been reviewing each individual lipstick shade that represents a past or present celebrity face for L’Oreal Cosmetics recently. Each shade is inspired by a certain skin tone, hair and eye color, etc which in turn allows for you to select a nude, natural lipstick color that will be most suitable for your skin tone. Of course, I’ve never followed rules about color! I just wear what I like! But this does make it easy to find a more wearable, suitable shade of nude for lips in many cases.
Jennifer’s Nude is one my favorites from the collection because not only is it a lovely nude lipstick but also because the formula is quite good compared to other colors I tried in the Collection Privee.
L’Oreal Jennifer’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick comes housed in a matte black tube with golden accent’s and Jennifer’s signature on the case. It looks like a higher end lipstick with quite an elegant feel. Although I did express in some of my pass reviews I’m unsure about this packaging and it seems like a magnet for dirt and grime the way NARS packaging is! We shall see it it stands the test of time.
Jennifer’s Nude is a dusky beige nude pink with a mauve undertone. It creates a very barely there pink beige on my lips and is opaque enough to cover my own natural rosy lips. Where as other shades in this collection accentuated the natural lines of my lips I didn’t feel like Jennifer’s shade did this! It had a smooth finish with a buttery glide on lips and a wear time of three hours. I never felt like the Colour Riche Lipstick formula was dry but some of these shades made my drier lips look a bit patchy. This color had a smooth, even finish with a slight sheen. It does have a strong fragrance and flavor.
I thought the color was a perfect MLBB (my lips but better) natural, nude lip color for me. I rarely find shades like this as typically nude colors give me zombie lips but this is just perfect!
Loving this one.
It could be the best of the collection or at least so far it’s proving to be!
