L’Oreal Jennifer’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick Review & Swatches

LOreal Jennifers Nude Colour Riche Lipstick

L’Oreal Jennifer’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick is another gorgeous shade released with the L’Oreal Collection Privee for Spring 2014.

I’ve been reviewing each individual lipstick shade that represents a past or present celebrity face for L’Oreal Cosmetics recently. Each shade is inspired by a certain skin tone, hair and eye color, etc which in turn allows for you to select a nude, natural lipstick color that will be most suitable for your skin tone. Of course, I’ve never followed rules about color! I just wear what I like! But this does make it easy to find a more wearable, suitable shade of nude for lips in many cases.

Jennifer’s Nude is one my favorites from the collection because not only is it a lovely nude lipstick but also because the formula is quite good compared to other colors I tried in the Collection Privee.

L’Oreal Jennifer’s Nude Colour Riche Lipstick comes housed in a matte black tube with golden accent’s and Jennifer’s signature on the case. It looks like a higher end lipstick with quite an elegant feel. Although I did express in some of my pass reviews I’m unsure about this packaging and it seems like a magnet for dirt and grime the way NARS packaging is! We shall see it it stands the test of time.

Jennifer’s Nude is a dusky beige nude pink with a mauve undertone. It creates a very barely there pink beige on my lips and is opaque enough to cover my own natural rosy lips. Where as other shades in this collection accentuated the natural lines of my lips I didn’t feel like Jennifer’s shade did this! It had a smooth finish with a buttery glide on lips and a wear time of three hours. I never felt like the Colour Riche Lipstick formula was dry but some of these shades made my drier lips look a bit patchy. This color had a smooth, even finish with a slight sheen. It does have a strong fragrance and flavor.

I thought the color was a perfect MLBB (my lips but better) natural, nude lip color for me. I rarely find shades like this as typically nude colors give me zombie lips but this is just perfect!

Loving this one.

It could be the best of the collection or at least so far it’s proving to be!

Anyone have it?

I’m loving this lipstick, I have tan skin and it’s still the perfect nude.

This reminds of a lipstick I just picked up at Ulta this week! I am fair/blond hair and have never been able to find that perfect “my lips but better” shade. I found the perfect match with Mally’s Natural Nude Evercolor lipstick. It is the perfect shade of pink nude that matches my lips perfectly!! I think you would like it!

This is a very pretty color. I really like lippies with mauve – mauve seems to be a color that works for me in lippies and blush. I recently picked up IT Cosmetics Mauve blush and it’s phenomenal for my skintone (light/medium with yellow undertones and some pink cheeks LOL)

Which did you like better, Revlon Rose Velvet or L’oreal Jennifer? I think one of these might be just the pick me up I need :)

I loved this collection, not because every shade worked for me, but because it’s one of the first nude lipstick collections I’ve seen where all of the colors weren’t varying shades of beige. I can’t wear nude lipsticks in general, but with the collection I knew I could find a shade that worked. I picked up both Jennifer and Frieda and like them lots, though the “nude” look still isn’t my favorite. I have a sort of classic “winter” coloring and look much better in deeper lip shades that contrast with my complexion than ones that blend in.

That’s very true! Some of these shades are nice pinks and the like and not all beige shades :-D I’m glad you’re loving them codename duchess :-D

I went for this because it had a noticeable pink tone. L’Oreal has done some of the best nude shades I’ve ever seen – if only they had kept the first skintone-matched series they did.

I made a special trip to my Walgreens today just to pick this lippy up after I saw your review! I LOVE IT!! It’s not super opaque on me, but it’s the best MLBB I have in my collection. I almost picked up Julianne’s nude, but what you said about the formula and the cool hue stopped me from spending that money haha
Although I did pick up Julianne’s nude nail polish and I love that too; I think I need to go back for the other colors.

yay so happy to hear it Michelle :-D I’m glad to hear it! Julianne’s nude was a nice shade but the formula was a bit crummy but hey if you can grab it on sale maybe go ahead and purchase :-D you might like!

Already picked up a backup of this! I am very fair with cool undertones and nude lips are hard for me to pull off, but this one suits me perfectly!

I bought Doutzen’s shade (pretty in the tube but really oddly light on the lips) a few weeks back. This shade looks gorgeous, chic, and very understated on you! I might go back to the grocer’s and get this one :3
