MAC Playland Chromagraphic Pencils

MAC Chromagraphic Pencils are available in four shades with the launch of the new MAC Playland Collection.

These are a soft, creamy pencil that can be used in face and eye design which were originally launched at MAC Pro stores but later became available online and at MAC stores and now get a launch with the MAC Playland Collection.

Let’s take a look!

Although MAC Chromagraphic Pencils are multitasking for eyes, lips, and face there are certain shades that can’t be used in certain areas. I tried two shades one of which is Black Black which happens to be my favorite of the two shades I tested. This can’t be used on lips but is eye and face safe. I find the color is much like Urban Decay Black Velvet as it is an intense black with a matte finish and a long wear. It has a soft, creamy texture that glides onto lids without tugging or skipping. It wears on my drier eyes for a solid 12 hours without smearing, fading, or flaking! On my waterline I can get at least five hours from it which is quite impressive!

Genuine Orange is the second shade I tried and as much as I love it, it does carry a warning not to be used on the inner rim or anywhere inside your eye area. I’d avoid it if you have oily lids as it might potentially smear and get into your eye so do be careful when using the shade! If you’re a bit of a makeup artist it does multitask so you can use it on designs on your face! The texture is soft, creamy, yet dense and glides without skipping or tugging.

The average makeup user might find the louder, less eye safe MAC Chromagraphic Pencils aren’t a must have but if you are a chronic user of black eyeliner I do think Black Black is a nice shade to pick up! Do like this one!

It’s available now on counters or online at maccosmetics.com or nordstrom.com.
