Maybelline Peach Punch Color Whisper Lipstick Review & Swatches
Maybelline Peach Punch Color Whisper Lipstick is one of two limited edition shades launched with the Maybelline Neon Bleached Summer 2014 Collection.
I’m a massive fan of Color Whisper Lipstick so I was happy they released a few shades for Summer! I hope to see more as we head fully into the season.
Let’s take a peek at this shade!
Maybelline Peach Punch Color Whisper Lipstick is a light shade of cream peach. This contains no shimmer or sparkle. It’s a very fresh natural shade of nude peach. There is no sparkle or shimmer here and the shade has a satin finish.
I love the Color Whisper formula as it is a fragrance and flavor-free hybrid formula that offers the color of a lipstick and the moisture of a balm with a nice shiny finish.
This color is fairly opaque and covers my natural lip color with a single application. I find the texture soft but it does drag slightly and color seems to crease into my natural lip lines so it looks a little patchy on first application without being as smooth as colors I’ve tried from the Color Whisper Collection before. I didn’t feel the shade as moisturizing as past shades either.
Typically I experience more of a smoother, softer, weightless, hydrating feel from these but this shade was a little iffy on all of those things. I get about three to four hours of wear from the color.
I don’t mean to sound like a killjoy here but the color is lovely it’s just the formula that’s a bit inconsistent with past shades I’ve tried and love so keep that in mind prior to a purchase! Although if you’re anything like me you’ll want it none the less! Totally understand that feeling!
It’s available for a limited time at drugstores this Summer!
