Maybelline Radiant Raspberry Color Elixir Review & Swatches

Maybelline Color Elixir Radiant Raspberry

Maybelline Radiant Raspberry Color Elixir is one of several limited edition shades that Maybelline recently launched with their Summer 2014 Collection entitled Bleached Neons.

I’m LOVING some of these shades and feel like I might just need a back up.

Take a look!

Maybelline Radiant Raspberry Color Elixir is a bright raspberry. Dare I say it has a kiss of coral to it? Just a smidge when you view it on the applicator and in the tube but on lips it is purely raspberry! It applies opaque on the first application but two layers make it pop. It contains no shimmer or sparkle and has a creamy finish with a glossy, plush look.

This formula reminds me of the L’Oreal Colour Carresse Shine Stains but with way more moisture and a thicker, creamier formulation than L’Oreal Extraordinaire Lip Color. I find they wear for at least four hours and give lips a nice hydrated feel with a lightweight texture and a creme brulee sorta perfume-y taste and fragrance.

Radiant Raspberry is the deepest shade compared to the other pink in this collection. It has rich pigmentation and makes for quite a lovely bold yet delicate shade for Summer looks!

I wasn’t completely convinced I loved Color Elixirs, liked yes, but not loved but they are really starting to grow on me in a major way! I’m quite happy that Maybelline decided to release some limited edition shades. It’s nice when a brand launched a product and doesn’t proceed to forget about it soon after that launch. The Color Elixir is fairly new so I find it exciting they are already launching new and exciting colors.

I wouldn’t hesitate to grab a back up or two of the limited edition shades. They are keepers!

i have this one and i LOVE it! i usually stay away from anything remotely pink, but this works for me. someone at work actually told me it was the PERFECT shade for me. it is the kind of shade you could rock at the office or at a music festival. so perfect for summer!

I love the Maybelline Color Elixirs, but I feel like there is sooooo little product in them! The tube itself is pretty small, and most of it is clear packaging!

    • Isabella Muse

they actually contain 0.17 oz of product Alexis so not that tiny 🙂

Hey there! This color looks absolutely gorgeous but I was wondering if it might be a dupe for MAC cremesheen glass in Galaxy Rose?..the only reason I’m asking is because I already have Galaxy Rose and I have not been able to see Radiant Raspberry in person. I would appreciate your opinion 😀

hi liz, not quite, it’s a bit brighter than galaxy rose in my opinion! deeper color!
