Milani Matte Baked Blush

Milani Delizioso Pink Baked Powder Blush ($7.99) is one of two new Matte Baked Blushes that Milani released for Spring 2014. You might be privy to the original Baked Powder Blush formula which was all ABOUT sparkle but these two new shades are smooth, matte, and shimmer-free.

Take a look!

Milani Delizioso Pink Baked Powder Blush is the more subtle of the two newest shades. Granted, it isn’t any lightweight as it is a beautiful bubble pink! But it is the shade that’s a bit less dramatic.

This is a pretty cool shade of medium pink with a soft, matte finish. It’s a little chalky but this isn’t a bad thing as it packs incredible pigment with a beautiful soft focused finish. The color is rather true to pan but it does have more of a reddish undertone on my cheeks versus a blue one as seen in the pan. It’s a very soft, finely milled textured that blends easily. I would suggest using a bushy brush for application since you can easily over do this one. A bushier brush ensures you get light, even color on cheeks but without a clown-y finish! It wears for a solid eight hours on my face without fading.

I really wish Milani would revise their packaging. This comes in a mirrored gold dual compartment that features the blush on the upside and a brush in the compartment below. For me the packaging is a little cheesy and it gets scratched up really fast. Milani really should do something black and basic for their collection in my humblest. The brush included is actually quite nice! Soft bristles, no shedding, and handy if you’re applying on the go but you can easily over do this shade with this style brush so go lightly if you are using it on the go!

Milani Delizioso Pink Baked Powder Blush FOTD

Milani did a fabulous job launching their Baked Powder Blush in matte finishes. I love the old formulation just as much but sometimes the shimmer can be a little much! These are smooth, easy to apply, and long wearing. Hopefully they consider doing more matte shades in the future.

Available now at drugstores.

Yay! My large pores smile over the lack of shimmer. I need to do a drugstore haul asap.
