Revlon Bold Lacquer Length & Volume Mascara Review
Revlon Bold Lacquer Length & Volume Mascara is a new Glow Luscious Mascara formula that recently launched for Spring 2014. This formula promises both length and volume with a lacquer film technology that provides intense color to lashes and a high shine according to Revlon.
Let’s take a look!
Revlon Bold Lacquer Length & Volume Mascara ($5.99 at Harmons) is one if those very confusing mascaras that promises so much but delivers so very little.
Bold Lacquer implies, to me anyway, that this is a pigment rich mascara that not only gives lashes that smoky look but also maybe some glossiness as well. I mean that’s what I get from words like bold and lacquer. This isn’t a shiny mascara nor is it even a wet one, it’s quite dry which isn’t a bad thing but the name is slightly misleading. It’s not very pigmented either. I got the shade Blackest Black and it’s a very regular mascara, nothing bold or pigmented about it.
It promises volume and length and it does ok with length but I don’t feel like my lashes look fuller after application. The brush is a simple straight line bushy brush that pulls lashes up and out. It does hold curl well because it is a lighter texture that isn’t goopey nor does it leave lashes crunchy or stiff. It didn’t smear or flake on my drier eyes and it removes super easily at the end of the night.
The weird part about Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara is the fact that it merely gives lashes a soft, fluttery, natural look with a bit of length contrary to its exciting name.
I’d chalk up Revlon Bold Lacquer Length & Volume Mascara as another mascara that promises too much but delivers very little unfortunately. I wouldn’t call it a miss because this formula may be appealing to those who desire a natural, fluttery lash look but the name implies drama which unfortunately it has very little of.
Revlon Bold Lacquer Length & Volume Mascara is available now at drugstores.
