Revlon Honey Bare Super Lustrous Lipstick Review & Swatch

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Honey Bare

Revlon Honey Bare Super Lustrous Lipstick is a shine finish lipstick that can be added to my Nude Lipstick and Lipgloss Recommendations for Spring!

I LOVE this shade.

After purchasing the limited edition Revlon Brazilian Tan Super Lustrous Lipstick this was an absolutely brilliant follow up shade.

Take a look!

Just the name makes me smile! Honey Bare! Awwww! And so fitting as this is a sheer, almost bare shade of light caramel tan with a high shine finish that’s absolutely gorgeous.

I admit in the tube it looks deathly and dare I say like a zombie-lip shade that surely will look great on a corpse but not on me.

Glad I gave it a try though because it’s a delightful nude, natural shade of beige on my lips! This formula is super soft and creamy with an easy glide across lips with a buttery texture that’s sure to delight fans of high quality lipstick (but not high quality prices). I didn’t realize that Revlon had a shine finish option in the Lustrous Lipstick Collection. The shine finish sheers the shade out but after two layers it’s fairly opaque and nudes out the natural rose pigment in my own lips. It’s also delightfully shiny so it looks like I applied a sheer layer of gloss when in fact that’s the lipstick’s natural shine!

If you’re looking for an easy to wear nude, natural shade of lipstick I’d highly suggest checking out Revlon Honey Bare Super Lustrous Lipstick!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. That’s an absolutely gorgeous shade, I will have to track it down.

Could you suggest a cooler, pink toned nude? I have pale lips that seem to warp colours.I have tried a few different nudes find they pull too warm on me. I have the nyx butter lipstick in pops and it pulls oranges toned on me. This one is a pretty shade but is out of my colour range.

I’m not really good for cooler pink recommendations Rose as I don’t wear them! But I have a lot of reader’s who are always helpful with comments so they might suggest something for you! 😀

I am cooler toned myself…i think the best one for us would be the nude lipsticks that were just put out by L’Oreal, the Julianne Moore shade in particular. It leaned very pink

Just wanted to leave my comment here incase someone’s still looking.. Revlon’ Mauve it Over is a gorgeous nude pink! Looks really dark in the tube but is much paler and prettier when applied

Just bought this shade yesterday and I agree with you, it is lovely and a very wearable nude. Love it!

I had a Revlon lipstick in Honey Bare way back in 1999/2000… Loved the shade! A very flattering nude on me. I was stoked to see it back again, but this version is much more sheer. I was a tiny but disappointed, but only because I expected something else. The new version is still a great shade. 🙂

I don’t mind the sheerness so much to be honest as I think that might be why it is wearable for me 😀
