Revlon Moon Drops Lipstick Review & Swatches
It’s a funny thing about Revlon Moon Drops Lipstick, I’ve been using it for literally years but never have I taken time to review it on Musings of a Muse.
After reviewing Revlon Rose Velvet Super Lustrous Lipstick yesterday someone had mentioned the Moon Drops formula in my post and I said to myself, I should take some time out to review this fab drugstore lipstick!
The only thing not going for Revlon Moon Drops Lipstick is a variety of shades but outside of that this one has a whole lot of everything good going on!
I always feel like the Moon Drops Collection somehow got left curb side because they only ever have 8 to 10 shades available in the permanent display where as you can get literally millions of colors in the Super Lustrous Lipstick formula. Why?! Needless to say this is a lovely formula with a smooth, buttery texture that glides on lips and with a slightly slick texture and a high sheen finish. I’ve always found it very comfortable to wear as it’s lightweight and feels quite moisturizing on my lips. It doesn’t migrate nor does it feather and it wears for a solid four hours before showing minor fading.
Copperglaze Sienna is one of my favorite shades. This is actually a frost finish according to Revlon but I don’t really get that from it. It’s a lovely burnt copper color with excellent opacity on a single application. The only thing that might not prove a hit with sensitive users is the Moon Drops formula does have a perfume-y flavor and fragrance but aside from this I’d say it’s an absolutely joy of a lipstick with an excellent inexpensive formula.
Would I recommend it?
