Rimmel Sweetie Crush Nail Polish Swatches

The Rimmel Sweetie Crush Nail Polishes are quite tiny bottles weighting in at .27 oz a bottle so if you’re not a massive fan of textured polish you won’t feel too guilty indulging in a smaller size!

At first application these have a heaping doe of super glitter but at dry down I find the sparkle dulls a little and begins to look (and feel) like sugar on your nails. The set is a gritty, sandy finish with a 3D effect on nails as the texture gives your nails a raised look. At first application they are fairly sheer, layer two is a bit nicer, but at layer three you’ll get the best texture and opacity. I was surprised that the brush was so good on these as it is wider and flat so it swipes the polish onto nails easily! It was unexpected as the bottle is smaller so I expected a smaller, dinky brush. At three layers I find they wear very strong…! I got nearly five days out of shades without chipping. Who would even expected that from a $2.99 textured polish. Unfortunately they are a PITA to remove or at least I think so but the pretty pastels are worth the hassle!

These are so cute. The green one really appeals to me, but I haven’t broken down and bought any of this collection. I probably will eventually…

i haven’t a clue where you are Katherine? I’m in the US and they are available at CVS. You’ve just told me you don’t have a CVS in your region but I don’t know where you are…? Rimmel is available through Europe/UK and the US outside of that I’m unsure. Hope this helps!?

I got two from Rite Aid. They might have them at walgreens and kmart because they sale rimmel products.

I got two of the collection but have not tried them yet. I got the blue one called Blueberry Whiz, and the green one called Fizzy Applelicious but I might buy more because the purple and yellow one looks so pretty too. I’m still on the fence about how I feel about texture polish. I only have two from sally hansen and I got these two from rimmal.

well after that typo I was afraid to admit that I live in Arkansas (Little Rock)!
LOL! We have Walgreens, Target, and Walmart. We have an Ulta store, too.
I was just at Walgreens last week and did not see these.

OOoh, cannot wait to get my hands on these cute lil things.

Thanks for your website. I go on it every day!

lol no prob kinda hard guessing where you are if you don’t tell me. I purchased them at cvs I really don’t know if any of those stores have them I know here in NY I have not seen any of the stores carrying them. Sorry! and I couldn’t tell you where in Arkansas they’d have them unfortunately with me being here in NY 🙂 I do know that most special collections for Rimmel I find at CVS but I think these might be permanent so maybe give it a little time for them to become available more nationally…! the UK they are perm! Thanks so glad you enjoy Musings!!!!!!!!

Hi there, OPI has a base coat (appropriately called “Glitter Off” Natural Nail Base Coat) formulated especially for easy removal of glitter and textured nail polishes. It’s designed to peel off easily so that you don’t have to struggle with the removal of the glitter/texture polishes. I found it on sale at Ulta last month. Using one coat of this “base” + 2 coats of glitter/texture polish, my manicures have last about 5 days. It’s very easy to peel off and it doesn’t seem to be damaging my nails. I hope they keep making it as long as these polishes are in style!

Thank you both! I will go online and look. Rimmel is one of my ultimate favorite brands. I’ve used their products since 2006! Their nail polish is my favorite – fun colors and the price is awesome.( Wish we could get CVS, but since Walgreens just bought a local chain – they are the top drugstore in our state – but they are my fave, anyway!) Love you Muse and the Muse community!
