Vidal Sassoon ColorFinity Cleansing Conditioner

Vidal Sassoon ColorFinity Cleansing Conditioner is another drugstore cleansing conditioner that’s starting to pop up in stores. I purchased this about a month ago at Harmons but since that time I noticed other drugstores both in store and online have started to carry it as well.

I’ve been trying a variety of drugstore cleansing conditioners lately as they seem to be trending at the moment. I love Wen but I also like the convenience of purchasing a bottle of cleansing conditioner at my local drugstore. I also like the affordability of it if I’m honest! And some of these drugstore cleansing conditioners have been quite as good as Wen!

Vidal Sassoon ColorFinity Cleansing Conditioner ($4.69) is actually for colored treated hair that’s dry and damaged. I don’t have color treated hair but I went ahead and tried out the Herbal Essences Color Me Happy Cleansing Conditioner and loved it so why not try this too? Plus I have drier hair so that’s one benefit right?

Vidal Sassoon ColorFinity Cleansing Conditioner is a sulfate-free formula with a moisture rich oil formula. Like many cowash product it’s very thick and creamy. It acts to not only condition hair but also to remove excess oil and cleanse hair. I always recommend enjoying the benefits of a Cleansing Conditioner but to remember to clarify and detox at the end of the week as they do tend to cause build up in hair. This does seem to take a little extra work to rinse fully out of my hair but nothing too bad! I do suggest using a comb to work it through as this allows it to rinse out easier in the long run. I come out of it with softer hair that’s less frizzy and my curls and waves are a bit more refined plus my hair feels very clean. It has a fresh clean scent that reminds me of a hair salon.

Overall, I think Vidal Sassoon ColorFinity Cleansing Conditioner is a nice option if you’re feeding into the cowash frenzy lately!

It’s available now online and in stores.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. A cleansing conditioner should not have heavy silicones like dimethicone that require the use of harsh shampoos to remove. That TOTALLY defeats the purpose of the CO wash! This is not good for dry and especially not good for damaged hair because it doesn’t have any really good moisturizing agents and dimethicone MASKS damage and makes you think it’s better when it’s not.

Adding this to my list of products to avoid. Bleh, it’s just fragrance, thickeners and silicone.

if you have suggestions for a cleansing conditioner without them would love to hear as about 99% of the ones I’ve come across all have cones 🙁

How about As I Am Coconut Cowash. You get it at Walgreens or Sally Beauty. I believe Target too but definitely the first two I’ve mentioned.. And always best to check out Etsy. A lot of people who make hair products on there

Don’t know about the ingredients off hand but love the L’oreal Evercurl Hydracharge Cleansing Conditioner….it’s for curly but really just brings your hair back to it’s natural inclinations. I have thick wavy hair and it’s great….I will try the Vidal ’cause cheaper is cheaper….thanx Musekin

I like the idea of this, but the oil scares me. That tends to weigh my hair down and, well.. I become a greasy mess. Maybe in the dead of winter this would work for me.

Does the Vidal products still have the chocolate cherry scent from yesteryear?

    • Isabella Muse

it’s more a fresh scent didn’t get the chocolate cherry!
