Wen Spring Orange Blossom Cleansing Conditioner Review

Wen Spring Orange Blossom Cleansing Conditioner (1)

You know cleansing conditioners at the drugstore might be a thing now but Wen Spring Orange Blossom Cleansing Conditioner makes me realize why I adore the brand so very much and can only WISH it was sold at the drugstore.

I recently got my bottle of Wen Spring Orange Blossom Cleansing Conditioner from a QVC auto delivery program I was on however, it is readily available in smaller sizes should you wish to try it. However, it is a limited edition run so in a few months time you might have a hard time locating it.

Boo! That’s the only thing I hate about Wen Seasonal scents! They disappear and I’m left hunting them down on Evil-bay!

Let’s take a look at Spring Orange Blossom!

I actually didn’t love the Wen Cranberry Mint Cleansing Conditioner. First off, I didn’t love the scent and second, it felt like it was a bit too thick and caused build up!

Not the case with the new Spring Orange Blossom blend! This is still thick, still creamy, but washes clean away for me and leaves my hair not only squeaky clean but also detangled and super soft. It does, of course, contain cones so clarifying weekly to remove any excess build up or even two weeks doesn’t hurt.

I think that sometimes the Winter seasonals are a bit thicker and that’s something I really don’t like as they cling to my hair and don’t wash out as easily! This is still very, very thick and creamy but it rinses clean away.

I actually felt very Lushie-like using it! If you’re familiar with the Gorilla Orange Blossom perfume that Lush created this is basically a spot on dupe of it. Or really any Lush Orange Blossom scented product smells just like this.

It’s not citrus mind you….! It has a slightly orange-y element but for the most part you get more of the orange floral element. It’s very fresh, very pretty, and very light so it’s not an overwhelming floral blend.

If you’ve never used Wen Cleansing Conditioner it’s a snap to use. Simply apply five large pumps into the palms of your hair (for longer hair) and work it gently through using your fingers or a long tooth combo. Work it through your hair and make sure to pay attention to the ends of your hair as well. This is, of course, done in the shower on wet hair. After I work it through I typically wash up, do whatever I need to do in the shower, and wait five or six minutes to allow it to sink into my hair. Now I rinse with lukewarm water. Done! It does not lather or foam but it does work to cleanse hair as well as condition it in one step!

If you’re a Wen fan I’d say Spring Orange Blossom is likely a must have. This is a lovely way to start off the Spring season! The scent has a lovely fresh linger and makes my hair super soft and tangle free!

Loves it!

I just received this too and love it! The scent is so light and pretty. This is my favorite of the new seasonal fragrances. Can’t wait to smell the summer one though! 🙂

ME too! I’m hearing Peach! I might just need a backup ;-D

Hi, when you say you should clarify weekly or every two weeks when using Wen, what do you mean? Is there a certain product I should be using with the Wen because I do find my hair doesn’t feel as clean as it should after a while.

    • Isabella Muse

wen has a lot of silicones and this can cause build up so it’s nice to take a break and just shampoo with a clarifying shampoo…I do it weekly, just rinse with a clarifying shampoo and follow up with a conditioner 🙂 It’ll rinse away all the build up and give your hair a minute to breath Kristin! 🙂

Yep, I have it, use it and love how bright and springy it smells! 🙂 I have to say I am so stuck on Bamboo Green Tea because of the results I have been using my Spring Orange Blossom as my first cleanse (very weird for me, seasonals are almost ALWAYS my second cleanse) because the shine and results I get from the Bamboo Green Tea are AMAZING! I am saying this as a WEN user since December 2009; Bamboo Green Tea really has taken WEN to the next level of awesome for me and I didn’t even think that was possible…
Can’t wait for the Summer Honey Peach to come out! Plan on getting the oil in that one because I will be out by the time it comes out. 🙂

      • Nicole

I didn’t notice that I didn’t mention I must have the Replenish Treatment Mist in the Summer Honey Peach too! Where is my brain?!? LOL I know the antibiotics I am on are causing me to have that problem where “I thought I said it, but only thought it”! 😀
Loving your reviews Isabella, just have been under the weather so mostly just reading and not writing as much. I am on the mend now though! 😀

        • Isabella Muse

Awww… Thank you! It is some sort of severe bacterial infection. 🙁 I am on my second round of antibiotics. I rarely get sick, but go figure when I do it is something hard to get rid of! 😛 On day 4 without a fever so I seem to be getting better! 😀

          • Isabella Muse

hey nicole sorry delayed reply! hope today you’re feeling better! 🙂 It’s the weird weather, cold, warm, cold, warm…total breeding ground for getting sick 🙁 I hope you’re doing well!

          • Nicole

I am much better Isabella, thank you! No need to worry, it took me a million years to tell you what was wrong with me! 😷

I hated the last fall and winter scents. This orange blossom one is amazing. I love it almost as much as the gardenia one. I am envious of your 32 oz bottle. I didn’t take advantage of that 32 oz auto delivery deal because the seasonal scents at the time sucked.

Looking forward to Peach! And rumor has it that next spring could be Cherry Blossom? I can’t even imagine!!?!?!!

    • Isabella Muse

OMG everything you said just erased from my brain when I heard cherry blossom hahaha!

    • Nicole

Yes, I agree… The rumor of 2015 Spring Cherry Blossom is pretty strong since his posts from his QVC launch in Japan! 😀 I am CRAZY about cherry blossoms! I go to the Cherry Blossom Festival every year in Door County Wisconsin. I would hoard it like it was gold! LOL! The packaging would be gorgeous too! Fingers crossed for Spring Cherry Blossom 2015! 😉

I also clarify once a week, I can’t stand the buildup if I don’t. Suave Daily Clarifying is great for me.
