Bath & Body Works New Coastal Cool Candles

Bath & Body Works New Coastal Cool Candles

I think the new Bath & Body Works Coastal Cool Candles are simply divine! The scents sound refreshing plus the new frosted jars are quite beautiful.

Slight problem…

No freaking lids!? I just want to put it out there that I HOPE the Coastal Cool Candles are the only candles released with no lids because if Bath & Body Works starts doing all candles like this well, I’d say my love affair is over with their candles. This makes the candles difficult to store! Plus if you store them in a closet or out in the open and have several of them they’ll kinda overwhelm you with their fragrance when they aren’t lit.

No like!

I adore the frosted jars but couldn’t they spring for a lid?

Here’s a break down of the scents!

Bath & Body Works Eucalyptus Mint & Waves Candle
Water flowers, eucalyptus and surf.

Bath & Body Works Ocean Driftwood Candle
Beachside oak, mahogany & fresh air.

Bath & Body Works Endless Weekend Candle
Raspberry lychee sorbet, sun-kissed magnolia and vanilla sandalwood.

Bath & Body Works Beach Day Candle
Saltwater, lemon leaves and citrus musk.

Bath & Body Works Palm Leaves Candle
Palm tree-dotted beaches in this blend of green palm, aloe & agave.

Bath & Body Works Sunset Beach Candle
Pineapple, papaya & sugarcane.

Bath & Body Works Turquoise Waters Candle
Ocean-fresh blend of bergamot, day lily & sea spray.

Bath & Body Works Coastal Sun Candle
Orange & zesty grapefruit.

I think some of these sound wonderful but the lack of lids has me questioning if I want to buy them or not! I just don’t love the idea of a lidless candle!

These are available now at Bath & Body Works or you can grab them online at bathandbodyworks.om.

What do you think of the new packaging?

Ok with lidless candles?

Oh no I am with you on the no lid thing. I have all of mine stacked on top of each other! Lids are a must. The frost does look pretty. I wonder if lids from old candles will fit on top?

    • Isabella Muse

I wonder too!!!!!!!!!!! I stack mine too plus I think with them open that they’ll kinda go off or might even scent up my closet in an overwhelming array of fragrances. At least the lids keep things tidy and fresh!

I was thinking the same thing, maybe you can recycle a few old lids to cover them up. Even if its not a tight fit, as long as the candle jar is smaller than the lid, you can set it on top of the jar and still stack them (and hopefully contain the scents!).

Me no like no lids! Personally, I’m not a fan of frosted glass either but that’s just me. With these scents I could get over the frosted glass ‘tho – as much as I like BBW’s fruity scents sometimes I need something a little more understated especially when I’m working and some of these scents seem like they’d do the trick, especially ocean driftwood and palm leaves.

I couldn’t agree me hate the lack of lids 🙁

    There’s always Glad Press n’ Seal. : )
It wouldn’t help much with stacking, but it would keep the commingled scents from blowing anyone away.

I’m intrigued! But your totally right about the lids.

I get that the jars are supposed to look like sea glass, and prolly look pretty when lit. But the lack of lids, IMO just another thing to make me go ‘really BBW really?’

  • AmandaM

I agree about being bummed at the lack of lids…but, that didn’t stop me from hauling the Turquoise Waters candle when BBW had their 3 wicks on sale 2 for $22 and 25%off! I rationalized that I would be burning this soon, and the turquoise sea glass jar was so pretty!

    • Isabella Muse

I don’t know how I resisted during 25% off and 2/22 but I did! Kinda proud of myself 😀

My boyfriend came back from the US and I asked him to buy me some candles. I showed him one id like to try if they have them but the other one he can chose himself. Now he got me totally different ones than I expected: two of the frosted jar candles. The scents are ok (not my favorite though) but I really hoped for one of the normal candles. Plus as you all said, they don’t come with a lid and I really dislike that cause once I open the closet I get blown away by all these scents, ending up with a headache. I think I know now whom I’m not going to ask to buy me candles lol. Haha but luckily they were on a sale that day. Too bad we don’t have BWW in Europe. And the online store doesn’t ship to Europe either 🙁
