Bobbi Brown Nectar & Nude Eye Palette Review & Swatches
The Bobbi Brown Nectar & Nude Eye Palette is a limited edition Spring 2014 eyeshadow palette featuring an selection of six Bobbi Brown Eyeshadows as well as a dual ended brush for application.
The Bobbi Brown Nectar & Nude Eyeshadow Palette embraces the nude, naked eye trend for Spring looks which I’m loving at the moment and as a Bobbi Brown fan I was excited to try this!
I’ll be the firs to admit the Bobbi Brown Nectar & Nude Eye Palette is a bit repetitive yet affordable ($48). Lately Bobbi’s prices seem to be extra, extra high so I was actually delighted this was under $50. I notice that her palettes have been creeping into the $60-$70 range so I think the Nectar & Nude Eyeshadow Palette def gives a bit of a reprieve from the higher pricing we see lately from Bobbi Brown.
The colors aren’t exactly the same but the palette does quite remind me of the Bobbi Brown Ultra Nude Eyeshadow Palette that released for Spring 2012. Not only are the shadows very similar but also the packaging which features Bobbi’s traditional black compact but with an inside surrounding that’s peach (in the case of the Ultra Nude Eye Palette this was pink).
It’s a lovely palette for those who like more traditional nude, natural shades. It’s an uneventful palette for those that have many of these shades in their stash already. Bobbi does a lot of shades like this and they start to run together after a while. I also think the palette is slightly disappointing because the Nude portion is spot on but the Nectar part really isn’t addressed here…I wish they included some softer peaches in the palette. The only portion of the palette that would fit the Nectar or “peach” theme is the shade Pink Bellni which is a soft peach Sparkle Eyeshadow.
The palette is dominated by soft mattes with three of the six shades being matte, you can count four of them as matte if you’re using the darker Rich Caviar Eyeshadow as an eyeshadow (it’s best suited as a powder liner though). The other two shades are a Metallic Eyeshadow and a Sparkle Eyeshadow.
Shades Include:
- Pale Cream
- Soft Buff
- Golden Bronze
- Pink Bellini
- Earth
- Rich Caviar

The mattes are soft and silky but quite sheer. The sparkle and metallic shades are lovely but these also happen to be very sheer. If you’re looking for pop this isn’t the palette for you but if you like softer shades you’ll adore this.
They also include a double ended brush for application which is actually a really good brush. I think I fail to mention this sometimes in my other Bobbi palette reviews but she does include very nice blushes with her palettes.
Overall, the Bobbi Brown Nectar & Nude Eyeshadow Palette is a beautiful pick for those that don’t already have eyeshadows like this in your stash. Unfortunately, I do think maybe people do have colors like this already….but if you’re just starting out in the world of Bobbi Brown makeup it might just make for a solid pick up. But be warned the colors do run sheerer and this is all about very natural makeup!
