Buxom True Nude Lip Foundation

I never thought I’d run across a lip foundation but apparently that’s what the new Buxom True Nude Lip Foundation are. Or are they just a cool new nude lip product for Spring/Summer 2014?

If you loved the idea of Hourglass Cosmetics Femme Nude Lip Stylo I’m positive that Buxom True Nude Lip Foundation.

Buxom True Nude Lip Foundation are a selection of perfectly toned lip shades that match the shade of your own lip tone for the perfect sexy nude lip look. The creamy formula promises to smooth, cover, and define lips with long lasting color that can be worn alone or under gloss for a beautiful nude lip look!

Buxom True Nude Lip Foundation are available in seven skin tone shades.

Shades:

  • Naked (universal colorless)
  • Buff (nude beige)
  • Nude (beige pink)
  • Undressed (mauve pink)
  • Au Naturel (cinnamon pink)
  • Bare (chestnut brown)
  • Revealed (deep rich brown)

I actually use the Hourglass Stylos often but I found them SOOOOOOOOO drying! I’m hopeful that Buxom’s formula is more moisturizing! Although I’m unsure of the shades in these promo images as none of these colors look quite like my perfect shade of nude.

What do you think?

Embracing nude lips for Summer?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m getting flashbacks to the early 2000’s when girl wore concealer on their lips. Haha.

I don’t think this will turn out that way, as these look like actual lip colours and not “foundation” colours.

@robyn: I didn’t mind “concealer lips” as much as I did the dark lipliner it was often paired with.

@Muse, I go back and forth – I love red lips, but I also have one particular nude lippy that makes me feel pretty whenever I wear it. Of course, it’s been discontinued, so I’m on the hunt for something new. Perhaps I’ll go swatch a few of the ones you’ve suggested lately – including these!

Love these shades and love the packaging. These are usually my go to colors for day to day. curviest caramel chubby stick from clinque? anyone? My favorite go to product for busy mornings.

Do you know if these ever going to be sold in Sephora stores? Right now they are “online only” And I would really like to swatch them before I purchase!!!

I’m not sure vicki…! Hopefully they will launch at Sephora stores as well as online!

Hey Muse! This reminds me of Etude House’s lip concealer. Maybe I’ll try this since I love Bare Minerals.

I know lip makeup comes in all shapes these days but I honestly can’t stand using anything other than a typical bullet-style lipstick in a tube. Maybe that’s because I have a rather full-sized pout and these small sticks take extra effort to apply. Also, for someone like me (brown hair, fair skin, light blue eyes), nude is a no-no. Just makes me look washed out and ill. I’ll take a pass. I’m still waiting for a fabulous lipstick find this summer. Seems like it’s all the same out there….!
