Covergirl Clean Makeup Remover Wipes Review
Don’t quote me but Covergirl Clean Makeup Remover Wipes ($5.99 for 25) are the brand’s first every makeup removal wipe. Feel free to correct me but I don’t think I can recall Covergirl having makeup remover wipes available in the past.
These are launching now as a permanent part of the Covergirl Collection with a that promotion that features Katy Perry. Between Pink, Katy Perry, the Hunger Games Collection, and a newly repromoted “fun” Covergirl Smoochies Lip Balm, you can really see that the brand is pushing to gain a more youthful market where as their Covergirl Olay Collection is more for a mature purchaser.
These new Clean Makeup Remover Wipes are obviously also geared towards teens with their colorful packaging!
Take a look!
Covergirl Clean Makeup Remover Wipes are a nice large cleansing wipe that isn’t heavily saturated with remover. They are kinda dry to the touch but they do a fairly good job swiping away makeup and removing about 60% of my waterproof mascara. As is the case with many makeup wipes these are a little bit of a fail at removing waterproof mascara. But when you’re in a hurry and just wanna get to bed but don’t want to head to bed with makeup on these are a good way to do a quickie makeup removal! They have a soft, clean scent that’s quite subtle compared to other makeup remover wipes I’ve tried.
Honestly, these aren’t really special. They are nice enough but I prefer my wipes a little “wetter”. If you really want a nice and new makeup remover wipe to try I’d highly suggest Clean & Clear Night Relaxing All in One Cleansing Wipes or the new exfoliating Olay Fresh Effects Exfoliating Wet Cloths.
Nothing against Covergirl but Clean Makeup Remover Wipes are pretty basic in a rather vast market of cleansing wipes. There isn’t anything here to set them apart from what other brands offer and really they are kinda mediocre in comparison!
Covergirl Clean Makeup Remover Wipes are available now at drugstores.
