Covergirl Introduces New Products for Summer 2014

Covergirl katy Perry Summer 2014

Head to your local drugstore because Covergirl introduces new products for Summer 2014 that includes Covergirl Olay Face Lift Effect Foundation, Covergirl Olay The De-Puffer Concealer, Covergirl Colorlicious Lipgloss, as well as Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Pressed Powder, Concealer, and Foundation plus a few other items!

There are a total of three new Covergirl displays to look through at drugstores now (my best friend sent me these images from Walgreens) so take a look below to grab the details!

This first display features pink and brand new Covergirl Colorlicious Lipgloss as well as a repromote of Outlast Stay Brilliant Polish. Some of these polishes look like shades from the Hunger Games Collection but don’t quote me on that.

The second display features Katy Perry and promotes a new line collection called Ready Set Gorgeous. This includes new pressed powder, concealer, and a cream foundation. Towards the bottom there’s a range of color cosmetics as well (not sure if they are LE shades but they look like permanent ones) which include repromoted Flamed Out Eye Pencils, polish, and Smoochies Lip Balm.

These two displays are testimony to Covergirl’s marketing reach for a more youthful demographic. Fun shades, cute packaging, younger celebs, etc…! We discussed this last year when the Flamed Out Shadow Pots and Pencils were introduced as well so it looks like Covergirl continues to try and gain a more youthful market with their latesting offerings.

For the more mature gals and guys out there (although not limited to) there is a new Covergirl Olay Collection available as well featuring a cream foundation and a de-puff eye concealer with a cooling applicator for application. Past concealers from Covergirl have disappointed me but as any good concealer junkie you can count me curious.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I just saw/bought the De-Puffer concealer at Walgreens today. I’m wearing it now, and so far so good, though it doesn’t seem to be outstandingly amazing. And is it just me or is it definitely on the expensive side (nearly $14!)? Though it is on sale right now for $11.99 with a Walgreens card.

ridiculously so! My friend purchased a ton of the products for me and handed them off to me Monday night when I saw the receipt I was shocked! Even the glosses at $7.99 each are absurdly priced!

If I’m remembering correctly, I think the new Covergirl Olay foundation was like $17.99 or maybe even $19.99?? Insanity!

No kidding! If I’m gonna spend that kind of money, I’d rather splash out on something on my Sephora wish list!

I think drugstore makeup is becoming more and more outrageously priced. I was actually just railing about this the other day when I realized that a Physicians Formula foundation without discounts or coupons was only $12 less than the price of my usual NARS foundation.

Wish I could get all of these….Very nice post dear…Going to make a list and then will decide what to get….xoxoxo…..^_^

Those youthful displays appeal to me. I splurged on two of the new Smoochies just because I love colorful balms and they do have better color payoff in general than the Maybelline BabyLips. (Plus there was a sale and I had some Wal-bucks to cash in.) What they’re trying to charge for foundation and some of that stuff, though, is crazy. At least at Sephora I can sample stuff and make a more informed decision on the spot.

I was thinking about getting these but I seriously think they’re just other CoverGirl products repackaged. They did it with the Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer (now the Smoothers BB cream).

I’ll probably wait for reviews before buying.

Being the concealer hoarder I was just as curious to try the Olay debuffer/concealer but as quick as I got it I will be returning it. It’s just not enough coverage for me & more on the dry thin consistency not to mention the price tag on it YIKES!! I’m happy with my Maybelline Fit Me I’m sticking with that for now.

same issue here abroad..lovely formula, absolutely no coverage 🙁

    Muse dearest,

I hope you don’t find this incredibly creepy, but I felt the need to tell you–I dreamt of you last night!! I was at TMS NY (I had seen pics from my friend’s outing and I guess I was jealous enough to dream myself into it!) and you were there, and I recognized you! You were wearing a gorgeous floral dress and berry lips (duh) and your hair was down and curly. You were SO SWEET (not that I’d expect anything else)! I was nearly too embarrassed to say hi, but I felt like we could bond over our NY blood, so I approached you, still keeping our convo short and sweet. Then you dipped into MAC Pro and I didn’t have a Pro card so couldn’t come with you, and we parted ways. It was the funniest thing!! Hopefully this brightens your day instead of freaks you out. My subconscious thinks of you as a celebrity 🙂

lol not at all I’m happy to star in your dreams LOL! 😀 awww if it was true I’d have shared my pro discount with you if I had one hehe 😀 <3! haha girl I am flattered but SO NOT a celebrity 😀

      • Katya

Aw, thank you!! 🙂 I was hoping you’d take it as a compliment and not a creepy lurker comment 😛

not at all! I was amused 😀 haha and flattered! 🙂
