Fortune Cookie Soap Talkin’ Smack Lip Scrub Review

Fortune Cookie Soap Talkin' Smack Lip Scrub

I absolutely adore Fortune Cookie Soap Talkin’ Smack Lip Scrub! Ok, so I’m a fond fan of Lush Bubble Gum Lip Scrub but it tends to dry out and get really hard within a week or two of purchasing it. I dunno why but it hardens so badly for me 🙁

That’s why I’m quite excited about Fortune Cookie Soap Talkin’ Smack Lip Scrub. This is a more refined sugar scrub so I have a feeling it likely won’t harden up! I’m going on week two with it and so far it’s as soft as the day I opened it!

Yay!

Fortune Cookie Soap Talkin’ Smack Lip Scrub is currently available in three Summer flavors (they are out of stock now but will be restocked hopefully by next week). I tried out the shade Blow Me! which is a traditional bubble gum flavor. Yeah, it does smell like Bazooka if you were wondering!

This is made with a fine pure cane sugar as well as sweet almond and coconut oil, beeswax, and shea butter. The sugar is quite finely ground so it’s a very gentle lip scrub. It isn’t too wet nor is it too loose, it’s pretty much the perfect consistency for a lip scrub. You can take a small amount onto your finger and gently buff lips with it to scrub awake flakes or dryness. This makes my lips super smooth (I tend to have flaky lips yuk!) and soft. I follow up with a lip balm and I’m good to go!

Plus did I mention it’s a tasty bubblegum flavor!? But no worries if bubblegum isn’t your flavor of choice they have it in a lemon candy and cherry lollipop flavor!

Fortune Cookie Soap Talkin Smack Lip Scrub

Overall, Fortune Cookie Soap Talkin’ Smack Lip Scrub gets a Muse Approval from me. As much as I adore my beloved Sara Happ Lip Scrub and Lush one I find the consistency of Fortune Cookie Soap’s far nicer and considerably more gentle!

Anyone try it?

OMG, Muse, I am so glad you reviewed this. I’ve been a fan of Lush lip scrubs for a while, but sometimes they do get dry fairly soon. Not so much with my last one, I had enough oil in mine but ran out of sugar, so I just added some table sugar to it, mixed it up, and I’m good to go. But I cannot resist a great lip scrub and the lemon candy one sounds DIVINE!!! Plus it will give me an excuse to try some other Fortune Cookie products as well. Hope you, Queenie, Saffy & the rest of your menagerie are having a great start to summer — give them kisses & squishes from me & my kitteh! <3

hey susan! DO get it! It’s nicer than the Lush one. I, too, love the lush scrubs but it drives me crazy they dry out so fast 🙁 thanks for the tip on the table sugar, didn’t even consider it, as my last batch had a ton of oil too! 😀 oh we are GREAT thank you! and how is daisy?! big huggles and kisses back to you and her 😀
