Guerlain Rouge G Lipsticks

Guerlain Rouge G Lipsticks rejoice as the brand has cooked up some delightful new shades for Summer 2014. Guerlain Geraldine Rouge G Lipstick (77) is one of a few new shades you’ll see popping up on counter for Summer and you might just love on it as it has a lovely glossy shine and provides a pretty hint of natural pink to lips!

Perfect Summer wearin’ shade!

Guerlain Geraldine Rouge G Lipstick comes housed in the standard, gorgeous Rouge G Lipstick casing. This is a weight gold compact with a flip out mirror for application. I call it compact because calling it a lipstick tube would be disgraceful! It’s so much more than a mere tube. As you remove the lipstick a dual sided mirror will flip open which allows touch ups on the go plus you’ll look hecka classy reapplying your lipstick on the street while holding this stunning compact up to your mouth!

Guerlain Geraldine Rouge G Lipstick is a glossy lighter pink with blue undertones. I was a little scared of this cooler a shade but it actually looks lovely on! It’s quite natural with a very pretty shine to it that makes it look like I applied gloss on top. It wears for around four hours for me without migrating or feathering and keeps my lips beautifully moist through that wear. It does have the standard violet Guerlain flavor and fragrance!

It’s absolutely gorgeous but I don’t know if I could spend $51 on lipstick. Sigh 🙁

I cannot believe how beautiful this color is!! Can you think of any drugstore dupes of that gorgeous color? (College leaves so little money for play!)

    • Isabella Muse

I would love to buy this lipstick! The packaging and that colour – OH WOW – gorg!!! That’s my kind of colour.

But here’s the thing. I could not live with myself if I paid that much for a lippy. I couldn’t. Especially as I have 2 mirrored lipstick cases already ($5 and $6 respectively at the local crafts shop).

Also, and I know I come back to this again and again, but this brand tests on animals and I couldn’t live with that.

How I wish that this brand in particular would stop testing on animals because I would like to have at least one Guerlain makeup product in my possession!!!!! Maybe not a $50 lippy but a powder or foundation…. (dreaming, drooling…)
