Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm Bronzing

Urban Decay recently introduced two new Naked Skin Beauty Balms with their Summer Nights Summer 2014 Collection. One was a new illuminating beauty balm and for the sun goddesses and gods we have this new Urban Decay Naked Skin Bronzing Beauty Balm.

If you already love and use Urban Decay Naked Beauty Balm you’ll likely adore Bronzing Beauty Balm as the formulas are the same it’s just the colors that have changed.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Bronzing Beauty Balm

Urban Decay Naked Skin Bronzing Beauty Balm is a medium bronze shade with a hint of an orange undertone. Yes, I got nervous too at that orange undertone but this actually gives your skin a very, very subtle touch of the sun if you’re pale and if you’re already tan it’ll enhance your tanned skin. I’ve used it on both my medium fair skin and my newly “I couldn’t avoid the sun while away tan and even SPF 50 didn’t keep me from getting a warm glow” skin.

According to Urban Decay the formula minimize pores, lines, wrinkles and redness while firming skin and giving it a lifted look with continued use in as little as eight weeks. I can’t speak for my skin being firmer but I will say that Naked Beauty Balm is excellent at giving skin a softer focused finish so pores will look visibly smaller and skin appears smoother. The same holds true for the Bronzing Beauty formula. This has a soft almost gel-like texture that blends out easily and gives skin a soft, even finish with a hint of a golden radiance. It’s not shiny, it’s not shimmery, or sparkly…but it does have a very pretty healthy, glow that says, “I’ve been standing in the sun for a few minutes but not for hours”. It isn’t a fried look nor is it a terribly bronzed look. If you want something that’s popping, well, this isn’t it. But if you want something to add warmth to your face that’s very subtle, this is your girl!

It’s kinda the perfect product for people like me who dislike a heavily tanned look but do want a little added warmth. On my medium fair skin it added warmth while acting as a base or a foundation product as it creates a soft, even appearance. You can use it over foundation or BB Cream to enhance your skin tone but you can also use it as a foundation product of sorts if you don’t require heavier foundation products. This won’t concealer or offer coverage but it will act to perfect and even out your skin tone. Since I got a good deal of sun while I was away this looks even better on my sunkissed skin. It kinda enhanced the sunny glow I already have and adds richness and warmth.

Wearing Bronzing Beauty Balm

Urban Decay Naked Skin Bronzing Beauty Balm isn’t your average, everyday bronzing product. This runs sheerer which makes it mistake proof! It’s particularly nice for those who already have tanned or medium skin with warmer undertones as it enhances such a ton and adds warmth and radiance!

hmmm…curious! i will have to try this out just for the sake of trying it out. Sounds a little like Stila BB illuminating balm (which i actually love so much i purchased another tube of it). I wonder if this will be available in Canada?!

YES less of a radiant glow though as I find stila is more shimmery! I sure hope it launches for you in Canada!

In the summer, it helps to mix a few drops of darker product (darker toned foundation or bronzing highlighter) into my foundation to match my slightly darker summer skin. This sounds like it would be perfect because there’s no shimmer and it’s warm-toned. Thanks, Muse! And welcome back!

I love the original Beauty Balm and got it in the light shade for when it’s fall/winter. I recently got the Bronzing version and it’s perfect for me. My skin is decent…no bad acne, no scars, a little redness on the cheeks and chin that is getting better with my improved skincare routine. I’m fair and this gives me a healthy, even, natural glow and makes my pores smaller. I love these products and wrote a post about them!
