Avon Ideal Flawless CC Color Corrector Pencil Review & Swatches

Avon Ideal Flawless CC Color Corrector Pencils

Avon has introduced several new products for Summer 2014 including a new Avon Ideal Flawless CC Color Corrector Pencil in five shades that I recently purchased.

As a concealer junkie I’m always on a mission to find new and exciting formulas and this little pencil did intrigue me.

Take a look!

Avon Ideal Flawless CC Color Corrector Pencil is $4.99 at the moment on sale but at the regular $8 price tag I’d likely recommend a skip. This is a formula that oily eyes might love or those who are looking for a spot concealer for quickie coverage or coverage that you can easily travel with for touch ups.

The formula is supposedly infused with licorice, vitamin C, green and white tea and promises full coverage. It isn’t in the style of any of the new twist up concealer pencils like you’ve seen from Covergirl or L’Oreal recently. This is a true pencil so you’ll need a sharpener handy to keep the point sharp.

I was pleasantly surprised that the formula is fairly creamy although it runs a smidge dry. It smooths under my eyes with a little tugging but it does blend fairly easily. The coverage under my eyes was a bit too sheer for my likening even though it promises full coverage. I typically rely on concealer under my eyes only and this isn’t really suitable for that area. It is however, a fairly good product for those with oily skin as the denser formula will apply easier for those with such a skin tone.

If you use concealer for spot coverage or perhaps a little contouring work this does work a treat as you can easily swipe it down say the sides of your nose or above your cheek bones right along your eye sockets to brighten things up. It’s also good for dabbing on pimples or small dark spots, etc to conceal them easily. It wears a shorter time or at least under my eyes it does. It doesn’t crease though which is a good thing, merely fades away.

The whole CC Color Corrector thing can potentially be gimmicky as I didn’t feel it acts as a corrector at all so that’s just something they throw in for potential sales since “CC” anything is trending at the moment.

Avon Ideal Flawless CC Color Corrector Pencil could potentially be a nice travel friendly pencil for spot coverage on to go but it isn’t a formula that will do you well if you have severe dark circles or need a ton of concealing coverage power. It might be most appealing to younger skin types or those who don’t require a ton of coverage!

It’s available now on Avon’s website.
