Avon Ideal Flawless Tinted Moisturizer Review & Swatches
I recently purchased Avon Ideal Flawless Tinted Moisturizer because I’m all about lighter coverage lately although I might have already discovered by HG (holy grail) Summer foundation in the new It Cosmetics CC+ Veil Beauty Fluid Foundation! But hey, more lighter coverage, always welcome around here.
I also recently tried the Avon Ideal Flawless CC Cream which did disappoint so I had higher hopes to the Avon Ideal Flawless Tinted Moisturizer!
Here are some thoughts!
Someday some brand is going to create a tinted moisturizer as awesome as Laura Mercier’s formula but with a touch more pigment. Brands shy away from pigment when it comes to tinted moisturizer and sure, I understand why however, a little bit more won’t hurt anyone.
Avon Ideal Flawless Tinted Moisturizer is beautifully formulated. This is a thinner yet creamy consistency that actually provides excellent moisture and leaves my drier skin with a dewy finish. It’s lightweight, breathable, and very pleasant to wear. Unfortunately it is very, very, very sheer. I’m typically ok with sheerer coverage as I don’t require a ton of foundation as my skin is blemish free. My main issues are dryness and dullness so I look to my foundation or BB Cream to ease dullness and brighten skin while not adhering to those drier areas.
Avon Ideal Flawless Tinted Moisturizer would actually be great if it had a touch more pigment. Unfortunately once applied it doesn’t brighten, doesn’t ease dullness, nor does it even out skin tone. It’s just too, too sheer! They got the texture and formula down beautifully here but the product needs a little more pigment to actually work. It quite reminds me of Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream. That’s another example of a beautifully formulated product that simply lacks the pigment to actually work.
Avon Ideal Flawless Tinted Moisturizer Swatches
So really, in the end, you feel like you’re applying moisturizer without any coverage. I appreciated tinted moisturizer for what it is, sheer coverage that evens out skin tone, but unfortunately Avon Ideal Flawless Tinted Moisturizer provides the moisture just not the coverage or even the SPF (it contains SPF 20 but doesn’t protection against UVA/UVB rays) I personally need!
Oh well!
Anyone try it?
