Bobbi Brown Pink Brightening Blush6

Bobbi Brown Pink Brightening Blush is one of two new highlighting blushes released with the Bobbi Brown Surf & Sand Summer 2014 Collection.

Let’s take a look!

Bobbi Brown Pink Brightening Blush kinda reminds me of the Brightening Powder range as it isn’t quite a blush nor is it exactly a highlighter. It’s more of a combination of a blush and highlighter in one.

Bobbi Brown Brightening Blush in Pink combines three shades two of which are a darker and a lighter shade of baby pink along with a sparkling white highlighter that contains silver micro sparkle. There is a faint over spray of shimmer on the two pinks and under that you’ll find there’s a very subtle bit of sparkle in the blush but for the most part the texture is soft, silky, and only subtle shimmery. The pink blush portion actually relies upon the white highlighter to provide the sparkle so combined the shades even a very, very soft pink luminosity on cheeks and face. I find the color is super sheer for my skin tone but will likely work best for those with fairer skin as it isn’t loud or garish but has a very natural, healthy flushed finish!

It does tend to wear a shorter time on my skin and fades within a five hour period. I also felt the pink was already sheer but by adding the white highlighter the colors tend to end up even more subdued as the white tones down the pink even further. This, for me, proves disappointing because it is a $45 powder! Ouchie!

I do wish the Bobbi Brown Pink Brightening Blush had a little more oomf to it! I needed a little more pigment here! But it’ll probably be brilliant for those with fairer skin who haven’t been able to locate a pink blush that doesn’t add redness to their face. This color is very natural and pretty but just not suitable for my skin tone.

It’s available now for a limited time with the Bobbi Brown Summer 2014 Collection at Nordstrom, Nordstrom.com, or your favorite Bobbi counter.

Thanks for the review! I wasn’t sure if I should order the pink or the bronze. Now I’m going to go with the bronze. 🙂
