Bourjois Paris Color Boost Lip Crayon

Bourjois Paris Color Boost Lip Crayon is a chubby, hydrating lip pencil with an SPF 15 that gives lips both color and glossiness in a single stroke.

As a self confessed collector and rabid fangirl of chubby lip pencils I was excited when Bourjous Paris introduced their own lip crayon a year or so ago! Bourjois Paris Color Boost Lip Crayon has been on my wish list for a while now so I recently pulled the plug when I did an ASOS.com and grabbed one up!

This is a swivel up chubby pencil that doesn’t not require sharpening just like any traditional lip pencil you’ve seen from a variety of brands! I think what sets Bourjois Paris Color Boost Lip Crayon apart though is the unique formulas as it does contain SPF as there aren’t exactly a ton of chubby lip pencils that sport the same.

I’d say texture reminds me most of Hard Candy All Glossed Up Hydrating Lip Stain as it is thinner, less balmy, and has a lighter texture. I find it very comfortable to wear and quite hydrating too. Mind you Bourjois promises it’ll hydrate for up to 10 hours and that’s a bit farfetched but during the wear my lips felt very pleasantly hydrated and quite moist. I like the lack of balminess to the texture and finish here! This feels more slick, less balmy and has a nice shiny finish with sheerer tint but enough so you know you’re wearing color! The wear time varies for me but at the most I can get about three hours of wear and no staining once the product wears down. During that time though my lips feel extra moist as I mentioned and I really like the shine finish!

Bourjois Paris Color Boost Lip Crayon is testimony that there are lighter, barely there textured chubby pencils that offer both color and hydration into one great formula. These are the true definition of luminous, shiny color that many people want from a chubby pencil but many brands fail to deliver! Add in SPF and you get yourself a tinted lip pencil that’s rather awesome in my book!

    Although I do like these, I don’t like their packaging (or I should say, lack of!). The ones at my local Shopper’s Drug Mart HAVE NO SEAL. Not just samples – ALL the new stock (I even asked a rep to make sure someone hadn’t just opened them all). Um, I’m supposed to trust that no one has opened this and done whatever with it? No thank you! 😀
