E.L.F. Disney Ariel Bronzed Beauty Set

The E.L.F. Disney Ariel Bronzed Beauty Bronzer & Mini Kabuki Set ($5) is a limited edition Little Mermaid inspired bronzer collection that E.L.F. recently released with their Disney Ariel Collection.

Let’s take a look!

E.L.F. Disney Ariel Bronzed Beauty

The E.L.F. Disney Ariel Bronzed Beauty Set comes with a small bronzer and a small face kabuki brush. As you can see the outer packaging is quite lovely! I think they put in some nice effort with the packaging and it’s a bit fancier than the E.L.F. Villains Collection which was originally a solid black and followed up with a solid white background when it re-released a year later. This time they put in some extra art effort with a box that resembles the bottom of the ocean floor.

Ariel isn’t actually featured on the box but she does have a gorgeous watercolor print that decks out the top lid of the compact. I was a little worried about using it daily because I feared her image would wear away! So far I’ve only used it twice but hopefully the image sticks around.

The bronzer does resemble one that released before from E.L.F. It’s actually a smaller compact and not the traditional CD size compacts many brands tend to favor. It’s a nice size for travel and isn’t bulky which means it’ll be easy to store. The bronzer lovely. It’s a velvety, buttery texture which resembles that of It Cosmetics CC Radiance Ombre Bronzer, even the colors are similar! The dominate color is a dark bronzey matte tan with a splash of golden beige shimmer that’s dotted throughout the design. Swatched alone the matte bronzer is a little dry and dense but combined with the gold the texture is considerably softer and the shade also lightens to a lovely golden bronze hue. I’d probably dislike it if the color was simply matte bronze so I do feel the gold adds a touch of radiance to the color. It applies beautifully and gives my skin a lit from within glow! It’s very pretty.

I do find the kabuki useless. The bristles are scratchy and the hairs split and shed. It has a flimsy handle and just isn’t testimony to the fine brushes that E.L.F. has available in their Studio Collection!

E.L.F. Disney Ariel Bronzed Beauty Set 5

The E.L.F. Disney Ariel Bronzed Beauty Bronzer & Mini Kabuki Set is probably a little expensive for what you get considering the kabuki is such poor quality and you’re paying $5 for a smaller bronzer. On the upside, the set is quite a nice collector’s piece if you love the Little Mermaid and Ariel. The packaging might be immature for some but I thought it rather darling!

The E.L.F. Disney Ariel Bronzed Beauty Bronzer & Mini Kabuki Set is available now at Walgreens or online at drugstore.com.

I got this in the mail a few days ago and I’m a fan too! I’m using it today to even out the sunglasses tan I got while at the Jersey Shore for the weekend.

My Ariel palette though is backordered from drugstore.com! Hopefully it ships soon, I was slightly terrified when it didn’t ship with the bronzer and then I got the backordered email. It says 1-2 weeks…
