E.L.F. Disney Ariel Go On and Kiss the Girl Review & Swatches

E.L.F. Disney Ariel Go On and Kiss the Girl

The E.L.F. Disney Ariel Go On and Kiss the Girl Lip Stain and Super Glossy Lip Shine Set ($5) is one of several new makeup sets and palettes that launched with the E.L.F. Disney Ariel Collection.

The E.L.F. Disney Ariel Go On and Kiss the Girl contains two e.l.f. Essential Super Glossy Lip Shine and one e.l.f. Essential Lip Stain in special limited edition packaging.

Take a look!

E.L.F. Disney Ariel Go On and Kiss the Girl Set

Unlike some of the past E.L.F. Disney Ariel Sets I’ve reviewed the E.L.F. Ariel Go On and Kiss the Girl Set does not have a watercolor print of Ariel anywhere on the packaging. The set comes housed in a very pretty “under the sea” style gift box and the gloss tubes featuring a large A initial embedded in a seashell where as the lip stain pen has Ariel’s name printed in a scrolling script. I actually don’t love the initial or the printed name personally. I think the initial is kinda large and rather tacky looking. They could have done something a little cuter as they did with both the Bronzer and the Brush Set I recently reviewed!

Both products included in this set are available from E.L.F. as individually purchases of $2 each so you save a $1 purchasing this set and you get the limited edition packaging which is especially nice if you’re a Little Mermaid fan.

This is actually the first time I’m trying E.L.F. Super Glossy Lip Shine and I do like it. It’s a very, very thick gloss with a mirror finish that has a tacky, sticky feel on lips. I personally love glosses like this but many will dislike the thickness and tacky feel of it. I really love the shiny aspect of it as it gives my lips a lacquer look which I adore. Sunrise is a bright pink shade with a sheer translucent color pay off where as a Sunset is a bright sparkling fuchsia with excellent opaque pigment. The glosses have a strong, sweet taste and flavor and wear for around three hours with a nice hydrating feel on my drier lips.

The is also my first time trying the e.l.f. Essential Lip Stain Pen. This is a felt tip marker stain that has a fairly excellent wear time of around three hours although it is quite drying on my lips during that wear. The tip of the pen is fairly dry during application which leads me to believe it won’t produce color for very long! Sadness! But I’ll enjoy it as much as I can now before it dries up. The color is Pink Petal and looks quite delightful when paired up with the sheer glossiness of Sunrise.

I dunno if any of these shades remind me of Ariel but it’s a cute set none the less and although it is slightly juvenile I thought the glosses and stain quite useable.
