Guerlain Rose Grenat Rouge G Lipstick Review & Swatches
Guerlain Rose Grenat Rouge G Lipstick is one of two new, limited edition Rouge G Lipsticks that launched for Summer 2014 in special packaging.
As you can see from my photos Guerlain matched up the shade of the outer tube with the lipstick inside. Typically Rouge G Lipstick comes housed in a gold case and this does in fact have gold accents but the a majority of the outer casing is a reddish pink. It’s kinda cute….although not very Guerlain I fear! But I think I kind of like Guerlain being fun for once and not all “I’m a serious makeup”.
What do you think?
Let’s take a peek at Guerlain Rose Grenat Rouge G Lipstick and see the shade inside the fun, cute packaging!
Guerlain Rose Grenat Rouge G Lipstick is dubbed as a red pink but more of a subtle cooler fuchsia. I say subtle because lord knows I’ve run into some seriously neon shades of fuchsia and Rose Grenat isn’t one. This shade is very wearable and although playful it still packs a rich color pay off with full opacity on a single application and a nice sheen finish!
It has a creamy texture with an easy glide on lips and absolutely no sparkle or shimmer in the finish. It almost feels like a glossy texture as you apply but sets to a smoother, hydrating satin. It does taste and smell like Guerlain’s traditional violet fragrance!

The casing is limited edition for Summer (as is the shade). It sports the same great flip out full size mirror the original Rouge G does which is a great feature if you’re one for whipping out and touching up on the go. I think really hardcore fans might disagree that the casing isn’t very “Guerlain” but I kinda like that I can the color mimics the shade inside especially if you have a few shades that all have the same exact gold casing!
Guerlain Rose Grenat Rouge G Lipstick is available for a limited time for Summer so if you want it best be getting to your counter soon before it disappears.
