Laura Geller Baked Gelato Blush Review & Swatches

Laura Geller Baked Gelato Blush

You couldn’t tear Laura Geller Baked n Brighten Blush from my cold, dead hands but you could replace it with Laura Geller Baked Gelato Blush!

If you told me that Laura Geller was going to create a blush better than Baked n Brighten Blush I’d call you a liar! But Laura Geller Baked Gelato Blush is as great if not better than Baked n Brighten Blush!

Laura Geller Baked Gelato Blush is a baked blush that quite resembles a cream at a glance. It, is, however, a powder!

I know, I know there are some of us out there that think of baked blush and cringe. I am not one of those people but I understand your dislike of baked blush but please keep in mind that this newly formulated Baked Gelato Blush is like not like any baked blush you’ve tried before.

A reader of mine kindly pointed out that the formula on these little blushes quite resembles Clinique Cheek Pop Blush and she’d be right. This has the smooth, ice-like finish of Clinique’s new Cheek Pop Blush and has the same creamy texture that glides onto cheeks in a natural, seamless finish. If you have drier cheeks or larger pores and maybe had issues with blushes in the past that accentuated these issues you’ll love this formula as it wears like a cream blush. It has that smooth, polished, refined finish that a cream gives to cheeks but in a silky fine powder. The colors are vibrant, pretty, and inspired by the fruity frozen flavors of Gelato! These pack incredible pigment so a little goes a very long way. The wear is around seven hours on my face before I saw fading!

Baked Blushes and eyeshadows typically start out life as a creamy liquids and are baked to a powder. The Baked Gelato Blush formula seems like a formula that didn’t quite bake enough! It has the smooth, even finish of a cream blush and the look of one on your complexion but the texture of a fine, silky powder. They wear with such a seamless, natural flush on cheeks and almost looked airbrushed on!

Gorgeous!

My only issue?

They are available in two shades only boo hoo!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I have the papaya one and I love it. It’s one of my all time fav blushes (along with LG’s Dreamsicle blush n brighten). I hope they add more colors.

    • Isabella Muse

dreamsicle is my fav too! I do too! I’d love to see more shades!

Laura Geller blushes are my all time favorite blushes. The quality & pigmentation are far more superb then a lot of other high end brands I just can’t get enough of them & I am a blush junkie too. Love the Papaya so pretty. I recently got the new elements blush from QVC as part of her TSV & wow it did not disappoint.

I’m jealous! I didn’t want to order that set because it had bnb in it right?! I couldn’t commit to more bnb but wanted the blush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀

  • Mary

Laura Geller has the best blushes!! I got the Rosewater in an Ulta set a while ago, but didn’t know there was another color! Papaya looks gorgeous, definitely going to pick this up. Thanks for the heads up! 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

  • diane

oh these are absolutely gorgeous! I am loving rosewater. On the wishlist it goes 0=)

  • BeautyMaven

Hey Muse— how did you apply these? I’ve tried with my EcoTools kabuki brush and it just won’t pick up any! I’m at a loss on how to wear it! =\

    • Isabella Muse

i used a bobbi brown blush brush BeautyMaven, no issues picking up color here!

  • Trish

I like the look of these blushes…I read somewhere that LG’s NY store will be closing, so we may be seeing more of her on QVC.

When she has a sell on her website, it can get confusing on whether your order went through…..if she improves her site and continues her sales in the other stores like Ulta, she’ll do just fine. I really love watching her..between my DD’s and myself, we have quite a stash of her products.

    • Isabella Muse

aw sadness! i didn’t hear that! I typically purchase from QVC not her site because it’s so much cheaper on qvc with sets/etc!

  • Trish

So do I, Muse. It’s easier to purchase from QVC but I order some products from her website because they aren’t available any other place. When she has a sale, it’s usually a good deal.

I was sad also to hear about her NY store….BM stores are very expensive to operate and I wish her the best of luck. I just love that woman.

    • Isabella Muse

agreed and better deals too 🙂 yes true too she sometimes has 30 off on her site so that is really good!

  • Melissa

I love the way you review products and I love this blush! I have it in Rosewater and I love the way it feels and the way it wears. Keep the reviews coming!

    • Isabella Muse

      aw thanks melissa 🙂 <3! It's a great shade isn't it!?

  • Helen Adami

I’ve always looked at those blushes at Ulta…just didn’t know. Thanks for the review. I have light skin like you with lots of pink in it…so I just love pinks and corals! <3 Looks great on you! Keep up the great work.

    • Isabella Muse

thanks helen 🙂 theya re really quite nice, I love corals too (and pinks) 🙂
