L’Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier Primers for Fall 2014

L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier Primers

L’Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier Anti-Fatigue and Anti-Redness BB Creams are two new color correcting formulas that L’Oreal has introduced for Fall 2014.

These are a follow up of the original L’Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream that launched in 2012. The UK actually got these a long time ago and really they seem like an extension or possibly a repackaged version of LOreal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Anti-Dull Skin Primer that launched in the UK back in 2009.

But count me curious none the less!

L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier Primers Fall 2014

L’Oreal Anti-Fatigue Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream is a peach correcting primer which eases dullness and brightens skin to give lackluster skin a less tired, brighter appearance L’Oreal Anti-Redness Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream is a mint green primer that eases and conceals redness.

Apparently these transform to the perfect shades of green and peach to match your skin tone and issues.

Each comes in a squeeze tube with a creamy texture that can be used in conjunction with your own BB Cream or foundation product to prep skin prior base application.

I haven’t yet tried either but I’ll update you shortly on their performance with swatches and a review.

Do you like the original L’Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream?

Excited about these new primers?

Do share!

I got mine at Bed, Bath, and Beyond so I suggest checking there or at Harmons and Christmas Tree Stores. You’ll likely see them late Summer at regular drugstores!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. the displays crack me up all the time. Only space for 2 items like what is pictured above. At cvs or walgreens not enough staff to constantly replenish the display. Kind of a waste when there is clearly space to add more product. And Ulta’s in the phoenix area it takes them forever to receive new products.

I’m excited! But, I’ve seen so many negative reviews on similar green-skin primers that promise to cancel redness, that I think i’ll wait to see how l’oreal’s does. If it does work then I will definitely be buying!

I’ll be interested in the anti-redness one! I was too pale for any of the regular colors.

I was really hoping for the violet anti-dullness one. Such a pity it didn’t make it across the pond.

Oh Muse, these were just terrible!! Two weeks ago, after my local Walgreens finally had them in stock, I picked up the anti-redness since I suffer w/a little bit of ruddy skin and flushing. I was so excited and used it the next morning – I noticed my skin change colors…the “universal shade” was orange on me (fair skin). I don’t think anyone, naturally, is this shade. I was very disappointed,if I wanted it tinted I would’ve bought tinted moisturizer!! Very disappointing. (7/7/14)

Hmmm.. I havent seen these here in Brunei. But I tried the L’oreal Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer (the one in the little glass jar). It’s an okay primer, doesnt emphasise my skin’s dry patches as bad as the Porefessional and the Body Shop’s Instablur.

I think the best time I used this was when I was on an educational trip to Bali last year, used it before using my BB and CC Creams. I was sweating (it was hot and humid) and I wear scarves all the time but my makeup stayed nicely with this, no dry patches nor grease. Interesting.. Must be the ingredients.. But *gasps* no water in it..

oooh and and and I have the Loreal Lucent Magique Pure Light Primer. This one is a good one, brightens skin, but with no SPF. I think it is called the Loreal Lumi Magique Base concentrate elsewhere.

Ahah! It has water at the top of its ingredient list. Yaaaay!
