MAC Bronze Prep + Prime BB Beauty Balm Review & Swatches
I’m currently loving on MAC Bronze Prep + Prime BB Beauty Balm! I’d never have thought I’d actually like this but it’s quite good. One thing to consider is if you didn’t love the radiant option of Urban Decay Naked Skin Bronzing Beauty Balm or the higher price tag (this is $30 and 1.3 oz in size versus Urban Decay’s version which is 1 oz in size at $35) you’ll equally adore MAC Bronze Prep + Prime BB Beauty Balm.
Or hey, if you just want to add a little warmth to your face this is a great way to do so!
Available in three shades MAC Bronze Prep + Prime BB Beauty Balm is an unexpected surprise for me. I honestly didn’t expected to like this at all. This is a creamy formula has a hint of shimmer but isn’t as nearly as luminous as Urban Decay’s formula. The texture blends and absorbs easily into skin and acts to even out skin tone while adding warmth to your complexion. I tried it in Golden which is a like golden beige. The color is as close to a natural tan but it isn’t orange-y, brown, or orange on my skin. It merely adds warmth to my medium light skin.
You can use it as a base or a tinted moisturizer alone or prior to foundation. I personally use it as my base as it acts to slightly even out my skin tone while adding warmth. Adding a touch of blush after, tons of mascara, and a simple lipgloss makes for a very pretty sunny and natural glowing look for Summer.
MAC Bronze Prep + Prime BB Beauty Balm Swatches
I like the simplicity of MAC Bronze Prep + Prime BB Beauty Balm a lot. It’s sheerer and isn’t your traditional bronzer that over adds too much color. I dislike bronzer anyway so this is a great way for me to get a touch of warmth without appearing as if I stayed in the sun too long! The color range also allows you to go deeper should you want so you do have customizable options if the shade Golden applies to sheerly for you!
If you’re just looking for a hint of color I’d recommend checking out MAC’s new Bronze Prep + Prime BB Beauty Balm!
It launches this June at MAC counters.
