NYX Q10 Renew Skin Elixir Review & Swatches

NYX Q10 Renew Skin Elixir

Dry skin start rejoicing because the new NYX Q10 Renew Skin Elixir is pretty amazings! NYX Q10 Renew Skin Elixir is one of two new Skin Elixir facial primers that NYX recently released for Fall 2014.

Let’s take a look!

Coenzyme Q10 is commonly found in many, many Asian skincare and makeup items. If you’re in your twenties your body is already producing plenty of Q10 but as we age production slows done so I’d recommend NYX Q10 Renew Skin Elixir for more mature skin or those with drier skin. I find Q10 can be slightly over hyped in skincare but it can preserve collage and elastin in your skin and give it a more youthful appearance. Mind you it isn’t a miracle worker by any means! It is however, a great way to regain moisture and radiance where it may be lacking and that’s exactly what NYX Q10 Renew Skin Elixir does.

This prep is a quick to absorb cream that’s infused with coenzyme Q10. It has a very subtle, fresh scent and gives skin a more smoother appearance while adding much needed moisture. If you have drier, duller skin you’ll adore it! It quite reminds me of Clarins Beauty Flash Balm but has a lighter texture in comparison. This is the type of primer that will help your foundation or bb cream go on smoother and look more flawless. It’s also the type of product that will soften flaky skin so your foundation isn’t sitting on top of your skin but melding with it giving it more of a natural appearance. I wouldn’t say it extended the wear of my foundation but it did help it to look its very best.

Now if you have visible pores, which is unlikely if you’re drier, this won’t conceal them. This isn’t the type of primer that will fill or blur the appearance of pores or fine lines. It is however, a facial primer that will aid your foundation application and provide more moisture to skin. For those sensitive it does have a very light, subtle fresh scent but nothing in your face!

Overall, I really loved NYX Q10 Renew Skin Elixir and just like Honey Dew Me it was ideal for my drier skin! Those who favor primers without the silicone-y feel and texture will adore this formula.

It’s available now at nyxcosmetics.com.
