Pur Minerals Jupiter Ascending Collection for Summer 2014

Pur Minerals Jupiter Ascending Collection

Pur Minerals collaborates with Mila Kuni’s upcoming film, Jupiter Ascending, to create a new Jupiter Ascending Makeup Collection that’s available for Summer 2014.

This isn’t the first time Pur Minerals has launched a movie related makeup collection as they also celebrated the release of Beautiful Creatures with an eyeshadow palette and makeup set in 2013!

The Pur Minerals Jupiter Ascending Collection is a limited editon set that recreates Jupiter Jones’, Mila Kunis’s character, signature look with new and exclusive eyeshadow shades as well as a light up lipgloss, touch up mirror, and liquid precision eyeliner.

Products include:

  • Majesty eye shadow (pale taupe)
  • Destiny eye shadow (cream)
  • Night Sky eye shadow (slate)
  • Jupiter eye shadow (rose)
  • Caine eye shadow (mocha)
  • Cosmos eye shadow (iridescent white)
  • Eye Shadow Brush
  • Light-up Lipgloss in Galaxy (pink)
  • Liquid precision Eyeliner in Outer Space

The set is available now at Ulta and Ulta.com or check it out at www.purminerals.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Considering the movie just go pushed to 2015, I can’t imagine Pur Minerals will be too happy about releasing a tie-in collection in 2014.
That fact aside, will you be reviewing the collection?

    • Isabella Muse

I’m not sure J, I wanna see the palette in person for first before deciding 🙂

Yeah. I heard about that a few days ago. Whoops, that’s embarrassing, isn’t it? Nothing like the makeup tie-in getting released months before the movie because the movie’s not “ready” yet. It looks like a cute palette but nothing all the special aside from the Jupiter shade. I’m still kicking myself for not getting the Beautiful Creatures palette.

Pur minerals MUA used this at generation beauty in la this past weekend and a few people won them, I had them do my eye makeup with it and the colors were gorgeous, perfect for a smokey eye 🙂 that Jupiter color is gorgeous but it did look a bit powdery while the artist used it… And I love how the lipgloss has a built in light and mirror to use it!

I’m an MUA for PUR and there’s both Matte and Shimmer in this palette. Very nice neutral colors but also beautiful pops of color like Jupiter. There’s also an illuminating primer with hydrating skin care ingredients and an illuminating powder with anti-aging and hydration qualities as well 🙂

I saw this collection in stores today at ULTA and it is so pretty. I love how there are matte shades, satin finishes and shimmers. The gloss is awesome. They also just came out with a illuminating primer and after glow highlighting powder. I am OBSSESSED with the highlight powder. It is my new fav!

i haven’t seen that powder yet mb have to check it out!

I saw this at ULTA, but wasn’t able to swatch it. Really tempted with these gorgeous purpley/taupe shades!!

TGIF Muse! I had purchased this when I happened across it perusing Ulta’s website one day. My weakness for purples, greys and taupes kicked in immediately.

I have to say I am disappointed in it, but I guess you get what you pay for. I had never used Pur Minerals before, but this palette is sorely lacking in pigmentation.

An interesting thing to note is that the gloss (BTW I hate glosses) has a built in tiny light when you screw off the top. Odd, no?

hi Christina late reply sis! mmm pur is so hit and miss doesn’t surprise sorry you got burned 🙁 Avon and a few other brands had the tiny light glosses a while back ago, I kinda dig ’em but weird none the less, like when would you be in a situation where you’d need lit lipgloss?! haha!
