Revlon by Marchesa Super Lustrous Lipstick Review & Swatches
Pink Cognito, Black Cherry, and Love That Red are three, limited edition packaged Revlon by Marchesa Super Lustrous Lipstick that are available at drugstores now.
Marchesa has collaborated with Revlon on a few collections lately including a complete line of beauty tools and accessories.
I was quite excited to see the new Revlon by Marchesa Makeup Collection at my local drugstore and indulged in all three of the pretty packaged Super Lustrous Lipsticks they had available!
Keep in mind these Revlon by Marchesa Super Lustrous Lipsticks are not limited edition shades so if you love any of them you can get them from the permanent Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Collection. It’s merely the packaging that is limited edition. The lipstick come in a black lacquer tube featuring a floral chandelier gold print. It’s a pretty packaging to say the least so I do recommend a pick up if you can find it.

Not only is the packaging pretty but the shades are lovely. In particularly, I’d have never tried out the shade Pink Cognito if this collection didn’t bring my attention to it. This is a lovely natural, nude shade of beige pink which has a sheerer color pay off but manages to enhance the look of my own natural lip color. It’s very pretty and doesn’t give me a case of zombie lips! Where as Pink Cognito is sheer and natural Black Cherry is all about drama. This vampy blackened cherry is a stunning opaque color that will make for excellent Fall looks and adds plenty of drama to smoky eye looks. And finally there’s Love That Red which is a orange-y red with excellent color pay off.

The formulas on the lipstick are soft, creamy, and buttery with an easy, no tug application and some of the shades even have a slick, almost shiny look. They feel hydrating on my lips and pack a fairly lovely formula into a cheaper price tag (I paid $6.99 each for these colors)! The pigmentation is excellent on two of the three shades and they wear for a solid four hours without making my lips feel dry.
Needless to say all of the shades are an excellent showcase for the Revlon by Marchesa Makeup Collection! I adore these!
