Sephora Gradual Self-Tanning Face Water

Far be it from me to recommend or even like a self tanner but Sephora Gradual Self-Tanning Face Water is probably the easiest self tanner I’ve tried.

This is actually a tanning water that gives skin a very subtle touch of the sun. I’ve used it for several weeks and hav eto say I’m kinda impressed.

Take a peek!

Sephora Gradual Self-Tanning Face Water is just that, a water. This comes in a 4.22 oz bottle and is basically a clear liquid tanner that smells like the tropics (I need a perfume that smells like! It smells like tanning oil and the beach and a tropical island and…and..all good things Summer)!

You’ll want to exfoliate your face prior to using it! After that all is fair in love and war. I simply applied it in the evening prior to going to bed and before any of my other skincare. I kept my skin regime really like the days I used it so nothing too elaborate on those nights aside from a bit of serum and moisturizer. It’s basically just like a toner so I just saturated a cotton pad with it and swiped it in a downward motion on my face and neck. It isn’t sticky and it absorbs easily into my skin. It’s very refreshing as well. Keep in mind this is completely clear on application so there isn’t tint here. On my first day after application I didn’t see a change nor did I see a change on the second or the third day or even the fourth. Finally on the 7th day I noticed that my skin was a bit darker and by the time I headed into week two I definitely noticed that my skin had gone up a shade. You can the subtle change in my photos below!

It’s actually a nice effect because it isn’t overwhelming tan or is it too orange or brown. It looks natural to me. Heck it looks better than a real tan as typically I tan easily and it would be considerably browner compared to the finish the Sephora Gradual Self-Tanning Face Water gives me.

If you’re anything like me and you’re kinda scared of the sun this is a nice way to get a touch of it without being overwhelmed!

It’s available now at Sephora and Sephora.com.

Wow, you can definitely tell it’s a difference- subtle, but that’s what I like in a self-tanner. I’ve used the Sephora brand self-tanning body spray and face gel (came in a set), and was actually really pleased with the results. Thanks for the review!

my pleasure! ;-D I think I used the spray last year if I recall and really liked it on my legs!!!!!!

Wow!!! Isabella this did wonders to your skin tone!! You look so healthy and radiant! I doubt it would do much for me as I own a tanning bed (I know, I know), but for fairer complexions such as yourself I imagine this would be a great product.

This sh!t is the bomb! I love it!! I’m pale and every self tanner looks muddy or orange on me. I applied this in the morning and had lovely, tan skin around 4-5 hours later. It lasted two days before I needed to reapply. Mind you, I’m not going for uber-tan here, just trying to not look like Casper as the weather warms up. It gave me a really nice subtle tan. Just like is spent the day at the beach. And no breakouts since this stuff is really light as water 🙂

yay happy to hear it. I didn’t see the results right away took a few days for me but it after that it warmed up beautifully 🙂 I agreed I def don’t want a huge tan but the little warmth was perfect for me 😀

Gosh! I can see a big difference in the pics. Did you apply it to your neck and chest too? Your skin is just beautiful, Muse. I want to try this tanner..

    • Isabella Muse

I did! but also my neck/chest is a little darker than my face…but I did smooth some on my neck and chest because I was scared that my face would be darker than my chest if I used just on my face 😀 aw thanks Trish you are WAY too kind!

This sounds perfect for me! I’m ghostly pale and live in FL so looking like I got some sun would be great, you know, without the skin cancer and sunburn 😛 I will have to pick this up for sure next time I’m in the store.

Wow, your skin looks so pretty! It’s slightly darker, but it still has this luminescent quality about it which makes it look really nice and glow-y!
