About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Wonder how this compares to the Anastasia contour palette. Since the the Anastasia contour kit is limited edition would this be a good alternate. Can’t wait for this come out.

Yes!! Now this is something I can get on board with. The Anastasia palette is too bulky and includes one too many colors I’d never use. But this little trio looks wonderful.

Long ago (about 5 years?) they had this very palette out…and then they must have discontinued it. I LOVED IT! I was so sad when I couldn’t find it anymore – the quality was awesome. Instead, I have the new Anastasia one, and while I do like it, the Smashbox one was better. The way the colors blended, and it was just easier with the 3 colors.

I bet Smashbox saw everyone else releasing these contour kits, and thought they better get back on board with it. I highly recommend this over all the newer contour palettes that are out now…it was perfect.

I remember this too! I ended up purchasing the palette after it was discontinued (from Nordstrom Rack I believe). I still have and use the brush that came with it. I especially loved how the highlighter color was a matte shade. So glad they decided to bring it back.
