Wet n Wild No Filter Photo Focus Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches

Wet n Wild Photo Focus Eyeshadow Quad No Filter

Wet n Wild No Filter Photo Focus Eyeshadow Quad is one of the new limited edition palette that launches with the Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Summer 2014 Collection.

I had a crummy experience when the original Photo Focus Eyeshadow Quads released the first time around and I kinda swore them off since the formula was incredibly dry! No Filter did capture my eye though and I decided to give the Photo Focus Eyeshadow Palette formula another go.

Bad idea?

Actually, not it wasn’t a bad idea! The Wet n Wild No Filter Photo Focus Eyeshadow Quad isn’t half bad! At a glance the shades look a smidge to frosty for my liking but applied they actually have a lovely satin finish with a hint of shimmer and plenty of pigment.

The Wet n Wild No Filter Photo Focus Eyeshadow Quad reminds me a little bit of the taupe-y goodness of the Bare Minerals Power Neutrals 8.0 Palette. This palette has five eyeshadow shades three of which are matte and two satin finishes. The beige matte shade is soft, silky, and blends perfectly. The dark chocolate-y bark and black mattes are a little drier but they still apply very well with excellent pigment. And the two metallic saint-y shades in taupe and golden brown bronze have a soft, velvety texture with an easy to apply texture that blends well with a smidge of fall out. The colors wear well on my drier eyes without fading or creasing all day.

This palette not only packs pigment but a very workable formula versus the original Photo Focus Eyeshadow Palettes. These aren’t dry nor do they lack color pay off or a dense formula. Wet n Wild seems to improved dramatically on the shadow formula in this quad and for that I’m grateful!

Overall, I’d say it’s a rather great purchase and worth a look at! It’s a bit expensive at $4.99 when you’re comparing it to other Wet n Wild products but with so many sales ongoing at the drugstore you’re bound to score a deal.
