Aritaum Honey Melting Tint Review & Swatches

Aritaum Honey Melting Tint Lip Balm

Aritaum Honey Melting Tint is a new tinted lip balm that launched in Korea in 10 shades. Being the tinted lip balm junkie that I am I instantly wanted to grab a few of these so how I ended up with only one is shocking to say the least.

I guess I was playing it safe because I did only purchase one Aritaum Honey Melting Tint and let me tell you, at first, I was glad I only got the one because I didn’t like the formula.

Something happened though!

And now I’m a fan….!

Aritaum Honey Melting Tint is pretty much like NO other tinted lip balm I’ve had the pleasure of using. At first it was a little dense and the entire “honey melting” concept was lost on me. I used it and it felt kinda meh, a bit too heavy dare I say. But actually needs a little bit of time to work its magic.

This comes in a simple plastic casing with a twist up design. The head of the balm is flat much like Stila Color Balm Lipstick but a little smaller and more precise. I like the flat head because it fits the contour of my lip line so well and makes application easy.

Aritaum Honey Melting Tint Swatches (Shade: Apple Tart)

As I mentioned above the balm starts off a bit dense and dry but as you use it you’ll find it becomes more and more melt-y and soft to a point that it glides onto to lids in a moisture hug. It doesn’t have a typical moist texture but does have a super clingy formula that hugs lips in a lightweight balm that provides a nice bit of hydration through the wear. It has a high sheen finish that looks quite glossy on lips and a light citrus-y apple flavor (sorry, it doesn’t taste like honey!). The real joy is the pigment. It’s HIGHLY pigmented. I only tried a single shade, Apple Tart, and the color is a bright, bold, opaque reddish orange on a single application. It wears for a solid five hours on my drier lips and leaves a slight stain behind once it completely fades.

Needless to say Aritaum Honey Melting Tint is a surprise product. It almost got tossed by yours truly. But a few applications and you’ll find the formula softens and becomes very melty with an easy, honey glide across lips and provides moisture, incredible color, and long wear! All this for ten bucks?

Oh my goodness, the color payout on that is amazing! It looks lovely on you, Muse! I am highly tempted by this now…on another note though, Aritaum does some of my favorite face masks! In case you need something else to try 😉

    • Isabella Muse

aw thanks Libby! I haven’t reviewed them but did try some of their masks 😀

Have you ever thought about doing blog sales to ditch some of the makeup you don’t like/haven’t used? I know some bloggers like to do that to thin out their stash, but then again, I’m sure it could be a pain! 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

it’s rare I have makeup I haven’t used kimmyy as I test everything. I’m pretty wary of blog sales plus I have so much going on already I doubt I’d have time to go to the post office daily to ship things/etc!

HOly Crow! That looks more like full pigment lipstick instead of a balm. And I bet you love the glossiness of it. Does the glossy stay for a while or does it “satin” down over time?

    • Isabella Muse

doesn’t really go satin but glossiness does fade around two hour mark Majick ;-D

Oh, and p.s. with that top and headband, shouldn’t you be sporting that milani blue lippie? Sure would have loved to see that on your smile. hehe
