E.L.F. Snow White Lip Collection Review & Swatches
The new, limited edition E.L.F. Snow White Lip Collection is probably the best $5 bucks I’ve spent on E.L.F. Cosmetics in a very long time. E.L.F. recently teamed up with Disney yet again to launch a new Snow White Makeup Collection as well as an Ariel Collection and I must say some of the sets have been hit or miss!
NOT the case with the E.L.F. Fairest of them All Snow White Lip Collection!
If you love red pouty lips you NEED this set!
E.L.F. Fairest of Them All Snow White Lip Collection
The E.L.F. Snow White Lip Collection includes three lip products to recreate Snow White’s “lips as red as blood” look. None of the products are brand new lip products as they are available in the E.L.F. collection already however, I quickly jumped on E.L.F.’s site to see if the shades were also available as individual purchases and they are indeed outside of the Shimmer Lip Gloss in Ruby Kiss which wasn’t available so I’m happy I can recreate the look after I use these products up as combined they create a KILLER red lip look!
The set includes:
- E.L.F. Shimmer Lip Gloss in Ruby Kiss
- E.L.F. Lip Stain Pencil in Crimson Crush
- E.L.F. Lip Balm Stain in Berry

Both the gloss and the stain pen are decked with Snow White’s initials on the tops where as Snow White herself makes an appearance on the lid of the Lip Balm Stain. In my opinion, they couldn’t have paired up a better selection of products and shades as these truly do create a blood red lip look that quite reminds me of Snow White. Funny thing is after trying Urban Decay Mrs. Mia Wallace Lipstick and later on trying out all the products in the Snow White Lip Collection I realized the shades are REALLY similar so if you’re strapped for cash and can’t afford UD’s option you might want to check out this set!
To start the look you’ll be using the Lip Stain Pen which is a deep, pigmented red. I’m not sure how quickly this stain pen will dry out but right now it’s working great. It is a little drying worn alone on my lips but as recommended by E.L.F., with the Lip Balm Tint on top, it’s perfect!

Now E.L.F. recommends using the Lip Balm Tint on top of the lip stain. I’ve tried E.L.F.’s Lip Balm Tint in the past and loved it. They are thick, creamy, glossy, and hecka pigmented! I’ve likened the formula to the thickness of Lipstick Queen Sinner Hardcore Gloss. They have a very emollient gooey texture! You might want to apply transparent lip liner prior as I find these do like to migrate! Granted, this formula is already crazy pigmented but combined with the Lip Stain Pen and things get wild! It’s just such a dramatic look.

Finally E.L.F. recommends adding shimmer and shine with the Shimmer Lip Gloss. Personally this didn’t add much in the way of glossiness so I admit I added some Too Faced Mirror Mirror Lipgloss to get that lacquer look but the Lip Balm Tint already has a good deal of glossiness all its own if you wanna skip out on adding any gloss at all. The Shimmer Lip Gloss formula is a bit weak as it isn’t terribly pigmented and runs a bit dry with a bit of a sheen but not the glossiness I prefer. It’s nice but the stain pen and stain balm are the real scene stealers in this set.

Overall, this is a great set! But if you wanna save a bit of money you can recreate the look by simply buying the Lip Balm Stain and Lip Stain pen from E.L.F. in the same shades. Sure, you don’t get the cute Snow White packaging but I was kinda happy I could recreate the look and these shades weren’t a one off.
The E.L.F. Snow White Fairest of Them All Lip Collection is available now at Walgreens and at drugstore.com as the Ariel Collection did make an appearance there!
