Etude House Lock n’ Summer Color Lips Fit Review & Swatches

Etude House Lock n Summer Color Lips Fit

So if you’re looking for SUPER long wearing lip color the new Etude House Lock n’ Summer Color Lips Fit fits the bill! The new Etude House Lock n’ Summer Color Lips Fit introduced with the Etude House Summer 2014 Collection is a formula that has a super long wearing matte lip stain or lipstick if you will that provides full coverage on a single application with a long, strong wearing formula!

Take a look!

I typically have a love hate relationship with some of Etude House’s long wearing lip stains because I find them a touch too drying but surprisingly Lock n Summer Color Lips Fits is a fairly nice product. Mind you it isn’t hydrating in the least but it wasn’t TOO too drying either.

Etude House Lock n’ Summer Color Lips Fit are available in several shades and come housed in a chunky lipgloss style packaging with an attached sponge tipped applicator for application. They do have an unusual grape perfume-y taste and flavor but I didn’t find it unpleasant in the least but it deserved mentioning for those who are sensitive to fragrance and flavor in their lip product.

This applies with a wet, glossy formula but quickly sets to a matte stain finish. I’d call the formula a bit of a hybrid as it does have a certain creamy glossiness to it but the set is most definitely a lip stain. It sets within a few seconds and kinda seals and hugs lips. The color is fairly vibrant, almost neon, on the initial application but it sorta tones down as it dries and it does continue to fade through the wear and leaves lips with a touch of color after a few hours. Initially the full color lasts for around five hours and fades at around three hours so the color tones down considerably but still is very vibrant. At hour five it fades a good deal but still provides color for another two hours after this. I tried the shade OR203 Live Fit Orange and it was a very vibrant orange at first but fades down to a very soft stained orange at hour seven. Needless to say it wears and wears hard. I do find the texture slightly drying but not terribly drying so it is comfortable through the wear and does crack, migrate, or feather but I can see it being a slight issue for those with extreme dry lips.

Needless to say Etude House Lock n’ Summer Color Lips Fit lives up to the “lock” in its name as this one isn’t go very far after application and will wear long and strong until you decide to remove it. If you like extra long wearing lip color and don’t mind a matte finish I’m sure you’ll get well with Etude House Lock n’ Summer Color Lips Fit!
