Mally Poreless Perfection Fluid Foundation Review & Swatches

Mally Poreless Perfection Fluid Foundation1

The new Mally Poreless Perfection Fluid Foundation debuts this month on QVC as a Today’s Special Value in the Mally Simple Steps to a U, U Love Set (review and swatches of the set are upcoming shortly).

As of yet you can’t purchase Mally Poreless Perfection Fluid Foundation on its own as it is debuting in the QVC Today’s Special Value Set for July but I’m positive it’ll be offered shortly after as an individual purchase. Considering the set has seven full size Mally Beauty products for $59.99 I’d say it was worth hauling just to get your hands on not only the new Poreless Perfection Fluid Foundation but several other Mally products for as little as $10 bucks each!

Anyway, I’m most excited about the Poreless Perfection Fluid Foundation since it not only combines the very POPULAR cushion makeup trend but also a true to second skin coverage that I’m sure many will love!

I should mention I love, love, love the new It Cosmetics CC+ Veil Beauty Fluid Foundation and Mally Poreless Perfection Fluid Foundation is quite similiar to it on many levels but also has some other, different benefits that the It formula lacks but more on that in a few!

I’m noticing that the cushion makeup launching here in the US is quite different from the full coverage BB Cream-like formulas I’ve seen and tried from Korean. I like what I’m seeing from the US formula as they combine the unique packaging of a cushion makeup but have also created a second skin sheerer coverage that has a “my skin but better” appearance and finish. That’s the case with the Mally Poreless Perfection Fluid Foundation!

This comes housed in a chunky pink compact featuring a double lid for freshness. The first lid opens to reveal a mirror with a rubber flat sponge for application. The sponge lays atop a second smaller lid which flips open to reveal the cushion or sponge makeup. The main sponge compartment does pop out so I guess Mally might offer replacement cushions in the future without the need to purchase another full compact!

Basically the sponge is saturated with foundation and has a squishy wet feel. You can dip the sponge into the makeup, a fiber brush (which comes with the kit by the very way), or your fingers to apply the product. I find the texture a bit creamier than the It formula and also it seems to have a bit more coverage although it still is quite sheer but builds easily enough. I really love how it has a cool, quick to absorb formula that has a soft, hydrating finish on my drier skin. It evens out my collection, brightens, and eases dullness beautifully with a second skin finish that’s weightless, breathable, and just gorgeous to wear! It won’t hide major issues but if you have dull skin that needs a bit of brightening up, or perhaps minimal redness to conceal, or you just need something to even out your skin this will work beautifully to do so. It does have a shorter wear so you’ll want to set it with a light dusting of powder to extend the wear (I saw fading at around three hours in). Unlike the It formula it does not contain an SPF unfortunately but I’m not too bothered by this as I apply my own SPF anyway and prefer it that way.

Just a note…as you can see the cushion has an orange-y look! This scared me as I purchased the Light shade and thought it would be darker or orange-y. But no worries, it’s actually lighter than it appears in the pan.

Mally Poreless Perfection Fluid Foundation (shade: Light)

Mally Poreless Perfection Fluid Foundation is one of those incredible foundation products that gives you the skin you’ve always dreamed of. If you already have great skin and just want to perfect it, this is the product you need to push it into that flawless realm. I love how it combines not only the hot trend of cushion makeup but also that of fluid makeup. I feel like this is a second generation of newer, improved fluid makeup that’s super lightweight, beautifully sheer yet providing enough coverage to give you a flawless, fresh appearance.

To say I love this is an understatement. I’ve used cushion makeup a plenty from Asia but dare I say some of the US cushion formulas are even better with a creamy yet light texture that sinks into skin on contact and only ever provides flawless beauty without accentuating flawless such as larger pores or dryness!

I highly recommend this one.

DO grab the kit when it launches this month on QVC.com.

Anyone try Mally Poreless Perfection Fluid Foundation?

Oh my lord new post your back from Holiday. You have been missed. Hope you enjoyed your travels and downtime. Looking forward to your posts.

I see this type of packaging is becoming a trend.

    • Isabella Muse

hi melanine 😀 Good to be back and missed you all very much!!!!!!!! 😀 It is indeed!

  • Diana

I ordered my set from QVC! So excited 🙂 Thanks for the heads up 🙂

  • Kimmwc03

Welcome back! I was just looking at my cart, debating whether or not to go ahead and order this.

  • purin

hi! i have been meaning to buy one ofthese cushion type foundations but i just can’t make up my mind… wich do you think is better? the it cosmetics one or the mally (settles less into dry patches and stuff)?

    • Isabella Muse

depends on what you are looking for in the cushion purin. It is sheerer and more fluid with an SPF 50 where as Mally has a creamier texture with no SPF and a bit more coverage. Neither settles onto drier skin. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for the heads up on this one! I have been dying to try the IT one so I think I will pull the trigger on the Mally TSV since you get a ton more products as well. Can you compare the size to the IT (as in how much product you get). Thanks for always giving us the heads up!

    • Isabella Muse

the it one is 0.34 oz in size Anna and this is 0.35 oz but yes def a nicer value because of the other products you’re getting 😀 my pleasure!

  • Nicole

Ugh! You had me until fading at 3 hours! Am I the only one that needs my makeup to last all day?

    • Isabella Muse

I think everyone wants their makeup to last all day 🙂 a little setting powder def extends the wear!

  • Katmary

I really like the looks of this! I’ve actually never tried Mally, though I have been interested in her mascara. I’ll have to check out the TSV and see what I think, but you have me interested in this one! Having dry skin and wavy thick hair that loves to frizz, I value your opinions since we deal with similar problems. I hope you had a great vacation, welcome back!

    • Isabella Muse

aw thanks kat glad to be back! It was lovely 😀 Def do! I think you’ll like the set, it’s quite a nice value 😀 and the foundation is fab imho!

  • Grace

I am obSESSED with cushion foundations / bb cushions, can’t wait to try this one! I’ll probably go for this over the it cosmetics one, if only due to the packaging 😛 The compact case really reminds me of the Mamonde real skin founder. How would you compare this to other BB cushions like the Etude any cushion, the IOPE, Innisfree, Laneige, etc? (Not expecting you to compare them all, I mean just in general XD)

    • Isabella Muse

yeah me too I actually mentioned in this review what I thought about the new USA versions vs Korean ones Grace

  • Nina

Missed you, girl. Hey, I have yellow undertoned skin and things just can’t be yellow enough for me! I was really disappointed in the color of the IT Celebration Foundation—-went on so pinky and even turned orangey on me as it oxidized. Would you say this has a yellow undertone or does it tend to the pink or cool side? or just straight up neutral, with no strong leaning either way? I want to get the kit, but don’t want to be bummed like I was with the last IT kit (although loved the palette with that one). Thanks!

  • Chrissy

Hi Muse!! Welcome Back! I have been looking at this kit and am new to Mally – if you fall typically into the light/medium category… would you lean more towards Light or Medium in Mally foundations? Its so tough were there are no in-betweens! Thanks!

    • Isabella Muse

hi chrissy thanks!!!!!! GOOD to be back 🙂 I dunno. Mally’s foundations are all over the place for me. Sometimes her medium is too dark and too orange-y for me where as other times I’ve tried her medium in foundation and concealer and it’s a nice creamy beige that fits me perfecting. If you’re lighter/medium I THINK the light should be fine. Because I consider medium a medium light and it was quite a good match for my skin tone. But if you’re a bit darker now (sun/pool/beach/etc) you might want to go for the medium. I didn’t feel like the light was pasty nor was it pink toned, it seemed like a nice lighter creamy beige that worked well for me. Hope this helps!??!?!

I purchased one in medium, and when I opened it the smell was offensive. Does this have a smell that is not typical?
