Ready for The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet

The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet

Ready for a new gel facial moisturizer from the Body Shop? The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet arrives just in time for Summer because I dunno about you but this is the time of the year I haul out my lighter gel moisturizers.

The Body Shop is having a good run with me lately as I recently tried, reviewed, and loved The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil so count me curious about the new Vitamin E Boost Sorbet.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Collection has quite a good following but I can’t say I’m a massive fan of the collection myself but the current products they are launching in the range are a big yay and I think this new gel moisturizer might be a hit!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet is marketed as having 2 million hydrating aqua spheres in each jar (I hope they don’t mean those scary beads that shower gels, facial moisturizers, and hand soaps have!). The aqua spheres are microscopic moisture spheres that act as tiny little reservoirs that hold hundreds of times their weight in water!

The formula promises a refreshing coolness when applied with a velvety soft texture that offers deep hydration in a lightweight formula that quenches skin.

It’s actually created for all skin types. I’m dry myself and always felt gel moisturizers provide plenty of hydration for my drier skin. And in the Summer they provide plenty of moisture as well as a lighter formula without making me shiny or oily. I personally loved Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream even though it has a rather high alcohol content so I’m excited to try out the Body Shop’s version!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet is available now at www.thebodyshop-usa.com.

I love gel creams, I used the garnier one for quite a while but started reacting to something in it, so I switched to the MAC mineralized charged water moisture gel, and LOVE it. Try it sometime!

There’s a fair amount of alcohol in the product it has a great texture and light in the skin but still feels very hydrating. Not sure how it compares to the Garnier but they’re both Loreal brands so seems like they could cousins

I “swatched” this today on the back of my hand, and I have to say it seems very promising! There are no “beads”, and it has a very light “mousse-like” feel to it. I passed on it, as well as the serum/oil, as I’m currently working through my current stash, but plan to add a few products from this line in the near future.

The description for the aqua spheres sounds very much like hyaluronic acid, I am betting that it would feel similar to clinique’s moisture surge gel. 🙂
