Tom Ford Concealing Pen

The new Tom Ford Concealing Pen ($52) is way above my budget but I’m a concealer junkie and do so want to try it. Plus I’m sort of a mush for concealing pens as they are so easy to travel with for quickie touch ups on the go.

Let’s take a look at the Tom Ford Concealing Pen and see if we need it!

Available in six shades with a brush application this promises to even out skin tone and redness while camouflaging under eye circles with a formula that rejuvenates skin!

It’s a twist to release pen so the concealer flows easily onto the tip of the brush that allows you to swipe on, blend out, and go.

Lorac has a foundation like this and a few other brands have a similar style packaging but those have brushes attached however, this has a sponge tip much like Maybelline Instant Rewind Eraser.

I am curious about the formula and wonder how moisturizing (or not) it might be. I have yet to try any of the Tom Ford base products only the color cosmetics so perhaps this might be my first purchase.

The Tom Ford Concealer Pen is available now at nemainmarcus.com and nordstrom.com.

I just received mine today! I’m kind of confused about the product because it’s a very thin consistency but does “melt” into the skin nicely. I received it this afternoon so I applied it over the tinted moisturizer I was already wearing and it ended up looking slightly dry. Tomorrow will be the first real test!

The fuzzy tip is fun and soft, not made of hard plastic under the fuzz, and helps to blend. It does seem to absorb a good bit of the product though. Hopefully that stops after the first few uses because it’s too expensive for that to continue! The colors run yellow-er and darker than I thought they would (I am definitely light skinned but have a lot of pink undertones so I typically get a shade or two darker than the palest offered) and Light is a good match for me. It might even be a little too dark over the winter.

I’m a sucker for all things Tom Ford so I’m hoping this ends up being the answer to all my concealer prayers!
